Eh? What has Elemental Sprites to do with the Feline Familiar from the Witch’s Outfit? Odd pairing, to say the least.

Eh? What has Elemental Sprites to do with the Feline Familiar from the Witch’s Outfit? Odd pairing, to say the least.

What I meant is that they left the Elemental Sprites so players could still do the Elemental Sprites event. So there is no clear tradition of abandoning optional content.

Again, I don’t know what Elemental Sprites have to do with (one part of) the Hungry Cat ‘quest’. That is an example of having to ask another player to help you fulfill the ‘quest’.

Pretty sure we weren’t providing examples of content you didn’t have to ask for help with. =/

But, yes, there is content (and lots of it) that requires no help from any other player, whatsoever. You are correct.

My point was that they should have left a rift that auto-opens at Gillscale Pond and dumps you in the pond so you can start the content. You said:

I think it would be difficult to make the cat from the Witch’s Outfit more available. And I don’t agree with adding that cat to the hungry cats collection for that reason.

I believe I stated this before, but if not:

You can ask someone to open a Rift for you, while you wait for the fix, (if the Devs feel a fix should be forthcoming).

I’d hope so. Having these “invisible” events show up all over the map is bound to give the impression that the event pointer is broken…

Nah, we finally educated enough people that the daily event maps are no longer full of complaints. People have gradually learned. (though I’ll still explain if anyone says anything, of course.)

They should have made the dot for a Rift event a different color.

I’m having this same issue with starting this current event. Contacted CSR and they didn’t really have any ideas. Found this thread and I’ve asked people in game about opening a rift up for me (both in guild, various map chats including the one with daily events and LA). My responses vary from silence to people having no idea what I am talking about.

Anyone able to help so I can actually try and complete this current event?

Also went to Gillscale Pond and ran around there are an hour or two and came up with nothing.

I can open one if you’re in EU
Might take a while to find one though. They have a fairly long cooldown these days
