Northern Shiverpeaks ~ [dO] Drop Otter
Could someone explain the alliances?
Northern Shiverpeaks ~ [dO] Drop Otter
No reasonable explanation has been given. Scarlet is so super duper smart and evil that they just do whatever she tells them!
Legion of Doom [LOD]
Someone told me this earlier and I found it pretty funny, so here goes :
How to make a Living Story chapter :
- Put every villain faction in a hat.
- Pull two names out of the hat.
- They form an alliance!
A. Flame legion Charr ahve nothing to do with Aetherblades, they only worked with the Dredge, The Aetherblades have been hinted to be allied with the inquest if anything.
B. no confirmation that the Krait are working with ANYONE.
The dredge were willing to form an alliance with the Charr because while being higly xenophobic they are still a pretty diplomatic race and were convinced by Scarlet to join up with the Flame Legion to accomplish a common goal.

Scarlet can do all of this, because she has…

There is no reason, it’s just really bad writing.
You cant just use Xenophobia to restrict a race from understanding the importance of an alliance especially if said alliance raises them to a new lvl of power. The krait as brutally savage as they can be are still ia very intelligent race there able to taunt torture as well as interrogate any one they capture. And i personally don’t see them as above having a temporary truce to gain some ground in a power struggle especially if said power can be used against ther allies also once they have gotten it cause krait are very capable of betraying allies just as easily after obtaining there goals

The Flame Legion cooperated with the Aetherblades enough to engage in ongoing joint assaults on every region of Tyria. Along with the dredge.
B. no confirmation that the Krait are working with ANYONE.
Judging by the Nightmare-esque style of that obelisk and the weapons in the screenshots they seem to be involved with Scarlet. Maybe it’s too early to tell, but that alone would be unusual enough.

According to the wiki, and all other information we’ve been given on the krait, they’re ruthless in the most absolute sense. They view all other races as beneath them and kill or enslave them on sight. No diplomacy. No communication.
Hell, their entire religion is based around their prophets returning with massive armies to sweep across the land and slaughter all other races. They have no interest in cooperating with them.

Also the Dredge and Flame Legion were willing to work together because of recent events. Both factions have suffered major blows. The dredge “capital” has been thrown into rebellion, Sorrows Embrace. (see dungeon story/explore paths) Meanwhile the Flame Legion has suffered a critical defeat: the death of their core leader and symbol to look up to, Gaheron Baelfire. This was the political situation for the molten alliance to be made.
In addition, the Flame legion wanted to use the dredge to take more territory, and then enslave the dredge. The Dredge leaders were persuaded to out of greed for more power and technology.

If this is any indicator scarlet mite have just gone directly to their leaders and conversed with them directly its well within the limits of her ability to do so if she promised the leaders powers with her good ol sweet talking. with the Krait leaders on board the rest just mindlessly fall in line
