I had to ask just in case I am missing something, but I was under the impression that dailies is used as an incentive to do things in areas of the game. But with the cold elixir you are loosing not gaining much if anything. The daily only gives 25 um but uses 10 berries that you don’t get back. And each berry can gain 25 um minimum by itself according to the wiki. so you are in essence loosing more then 250 um. Now you do gain a small portion of karma, but that to me does not justify it as a daily. And then there is the bonus of xp. Which if you have not gotten every mastery done is useless and wasted.
So where is the incentive or even reason for this daily?

Huh. Good point. The Dailies seem a bit odd in Bitterfrost Frontier. Perhaps, the Devs will take a look at them.

Seems to me that its more like a small bit of a “refund” for making an elixir, which you have good reason to do if you’re going to be spending time in Bitterfrost Frontier anyway, than something you should do for a reward.

I expect there will be another area that requires the elixir because, right now, there is little benefit to accumulating the elixir after the story is complete. Farming the mobs and opening a few chests is not rewarding enough compared to the unrestricted area’s UM, equipment, and event farm.

I have soooooo much unusable junk from the new map.

The closed off area itself is nothing special, true. But the elixir also prevents all chill of any kind, which comes in handy when just running around the area. Dunno why it doesn’t also prevent you getting frozen in ice blocks by some enemies, that’d also be a nice bonus to using it.

Not really. There is no reason to ever go there once you get the story step and the 5 account bound achievements in the area done, all of which you can get on your first elixir charge during the story if you are industrious. Even if you miss them, that’s maybe one added time you need to make the elixir, ever. Making it a daily is essentially a noob trap.
