Having to do the elixir every day if we want to access the whole map is a non-starter. By the time we have done enough to have the ingredients we are already done for the day. Get rid of this or we are going to stop bothering to do that part of the map. We have enough problems getting around the map without adding this on top of it.

I quit just minutes after getting the elixir yesterday and now I find myself having to do it all over again. Wow Anet, way to be hostile to us casuals.

Heard about it and made sure to map everything outside of hidden mastery points in a single day and I don’t have any plans to return to that map.

Only one section of the map is blocked and there’s really no reason to go there daily other than for the story in which case you would already have the buff. As for gathering the materials, it takes maybe 10 minutes.

Once you have the mastery point, you never need to go there again really.

Don’t forget that 5 of the chests needed for the Thorough Sampling Achievement are in that cold resistance area so you want to make sure you get them while you have that buff and not have to work at getting it again.

The elixir crap is a horrible mechanic. Good thing it is just another map with 0 replay value, so I doubt I will visit it again after finishing the achievements (and buying the unlocks)
