Guild Wars 2

As a reader of the book (Edge of Destiny) and an avid player of the game, I really miss Destiny’s Edge.

Each member felt like an actual companion, and they all had very interesting backgrounds. I also loved the way certain members would interact together, and their story as a whole of being broken and returning as one again. But what bothers me is that right after you bring them back together & all is well, you haven’t seen them for 2 years + ( if you started near release ). I -hope- that since, when you finish your personal story, they talk about the other elder dragons, that perhaps they will make a return ( along with the pact, it would be nice to see some characters we evolved with from our selected order, because that would be awesome to expand upon as well. I want to feel more in-touch with the order I chose, get deeper into its background, get more involved – especially being such a high rank in it ) to aid us in the future, but I am not sure since we have a ‘new destiny’s edge’ feeling group in the living story ( which I /personally/ prefer much less than the original group :c ). I’d like to add that I also felt like a much more important part of the original group, and that I was contributing a lot and interacting with everyone, which was really nice – With the new group, I feel like I’ve been kicked to the sidelines and am here just to watch the ride rather than get on the ride with everyone else. I feel that if we are done with the original Destiny’s Edge, that the ending for them would be -way- too premature. Especially since it felt like we were just getting to the juicy part ( of not only the whole GW2 story, but also each members’ personal story and how they’ve evolved through time with you )! So, where do you stand on this?

Haven’t finished the PS, or done the dungeons, or read the books. Shame on me!

So, I really don’t know much about them. I know much more about the Biconics.

Since ANet had gone and officially stated S1 and S2 are set after the PS there’s no reason not to, as previously some thought that any dramatic change in the LW (say someone dies) would have caused inconsistency with the PS. The only issue now is the availability of the voice actors. Logan and Rytlock have made a couple of appearances in S1 but mostly cameos. If we see them again it would probably not be in any major capacity. Still would be nice to catch up with our racial-heroes again, talk about the good old days.

I’m certain that Caithe will almost certainly play a role in this Season (she has some secret that Scarlet alluded to, and it still needs to be revealed). As to the others, I hope they’ll play a role too. It would be cool to have a huge boss battle where both the Biconics and Destiny’s Edge team up together with you.

no i read the book and didnt particularly care for them. the only one i liked died. id rather see dougal keane and the charr from ghosts of ascalon

I think yes, but sadly not all of them. Some of those voice actors are really hard to get. Why do you think there wasn’t any new Zojja dialogue? Felicia Day is really busy

I hope so, because DE 2.0 is as lame as dried up peanut butter.
