Am I the only one that played the episode and was less hyped for the next exp?
I really hoped for interesting lore, but we did get nothing.
I think that gw really had a lot of opportunities storywise, but they didnt use anything of it. Its like: no we will not give you a nice story, just kill this character we could do so many cool things with.

It’s annoying to me, I want to be hyped, but the hype was so poory delivered that I simply do not feel it.

You are not the only one. The story writer has gone full “Lost” in LS3. Lots of threads, unresolved, randomly hopping from one to another without actual closure. The threads of Jormag and Primordus and Braham were just droped down. Balthazar, who became the main plot point only in Ep5 gets absolutely no development in Ep6. Every story instance since Ep4 cliffhanger generates more questions it answers.
I am afraid all this will end just like Lost: with some anticlimactic nonsence and most of questions unanswered.
Well, at least the maps are good.

Jormag and Primordus are sleeping and Braham couldn’t kill Jormag. It’s not a dropped plot, you just weren’t paying attention.

Balthazar is the focus of the next expansion and will get more development there.

The only question left unanswered is Rytlock.

I’m less hyped than the last few episodes. I really have no idea how this was supposed to connect to anything, and the teaser certainly didn’t help.

It was just some random scenes of things burning and a dragon that I thought was Primordus because it was all black and lava-cracked, but apparently it was Kralkatorrik (looking at it again, I can see crystals briefly before he turns all lava-y, but I wasn’t really about to rewatch something that made so little sense to me before people pointed this out)?

I don’t know how the player character even knew it was showing the Crystal Desert, but even with that information I don’t have any reason to be hyped about that. Balthazar, a weakened god who we already defeated, is running off to a barren area. I don’t know anything in the lore that would make that exciting, and I’m not aware of anything in this season that would help.

I think this was pretty heavy on the GW1 hype. As a GW1 player it was pretty awesome, but I imagine we’re a minority. Actually this whole season has been some pretty serious GW1 hype.

This episode finally finished the WM plot for good. Yea, we previously killed Caedecus and broke the WM, but they still had the aspects and had hope of getting their god back. Now their god is dead, and so is the WM. This tied that up pretty nicely. It also explains what Braham has been doing (though that was pretty weak imo), and confirms that 2 elder dragons are now asleep again and thus out of the picture.

As for the trailer, I agree that the first dragon scene looks like primordus. But the purple color and the pyramids give away its set in a desert theme.
