Dragon related content
Or maybe they don’t want to rush and defeat all the main villains within a year of release?
Just because the dragon are out there doesn’t mean there are no other (more present) threats.

I didnt mean to kill the elder dragons now. I just want to see that they are here. Like an Icebrood invasion from Far Shiverpeaks, or destroyers attacking from new small fissures around the world. Not events with pirates, but events with dragon minions. And time by time, some new dragon lietuants or champions (I would really like to see Drakkar!)
I think that the dragons are more of a MacGuffin, in that we still have 6 or so dragons to defeat – and that the world is still heavily influenced by their control. Its funny that the dragons don’t just destroy all our main cities to leave us paralyzed. But that’s not how they are supposed to interact with the world. Once we thought that the arrival of primordius would be a horrible cataclysm from which we wouldn’t survive, but we know now that the dragons aren’t really interested in killing us all off, save for their own machinations.
Although I agree we need more living story dragon content – I think that dragon content is campaign related with major game releases, not in the living story mode.

Dragons?
GW2 has dragons?
I don’t believe you…such a terrible lie.
I don’t know about you, but i average killing at least 3 dragons a day in this game.
I think they will add more dragon lore and evolution (minions & environment). Which might mean new champions to fight. We will probably not see another elder dragon maybe until after Wild Star gets released in the 2nd quarter of next year. They are still trying to perfect the game mechanics by getting the reward system to more motivating and enjoyable long term. All the while adding features like the refined LFG mechanic and getting their dynamic event system in order; so it’s like what they imagined before GW2 was released. One of the biggest problem with getting another elder dragon fight is they want to avoid having another zhaitan rushed/anticlimactic encounter in game. Also taking in how long it took for them to fix the culling issues in game, then about 2nd quarter next year seems about right for another elder dragon encounter.
A lot of the community wants the dragon fights to continue, including myself. But looking from ANet’s perspective they can’t really just blast through all their main storyline content within the first year or two of the games cycle. We will hopefully go and fight the remaining Elder Dragon’s. I for one am really excited for Jormag / Kralk.
Yeah, Colin has said that we won’t fight another dragon this year. Hopefully we’ll eventually do more than 1/year though, otherwise it’ll take forever to kill them all off and to also visit Cantha and Elona and deal with their massive amounts of problems, and the massive amount of Tyria we still have to explore.
I want to meet Primordius and Kralky. They seem like riotous ruffians for whom a beating would not go unwarranted.
Without. Trahearne.
I’d also like to meet Bubbles as a curiosity alone, but he doesn’t seem to be a threat yet.
Actually, I just wanted to open a similar thread just now.
I even bothered to get an image to support my claim ^^
Update 5.9.2013: getting better ANet, still way to go!
A Lannister always pays his debts – For everyone else, there’s Mastercard.
They have so much backlog of available lore that could be translated into this, instead, we have 2+ holiday events per month.
All the remaining dragons, the two we haven’t seen lieutenants of specifically, the nightmare court, the blood legion, titans that were never eradicated, vengeful ancient gods, Palawa Joko, the region north east of Vabbi that we never got to see in GW1, the portions of Cantha and Tyria beyond the barrier mountains. Sorry, but I don’t buy the ‘burning through content too fast’ arguement, they have so much available for use, and are there really only three continents, they have plenty of creative minds on staff, let them be used.
