Dyeing, un-dyeing Luminescent armor???
There’s an eraser icon in the dye tab. It erases dyes.
It’s not working, I tried that, it only resets it to the last dye pattern I was wearing before hand, which were Christmas colors…
I’m a bit confused… what do you mean by it’s original state? It should have just been auto-dyed whatever colors your armor was at the time… Luminescent armor does not come with unique dyes or anything…
I think he’s using carapace armor instead of lumi without realizing
He is a she, and no, she’s wearing Lumin armor…
Okay, lemme start again. I have the Lumin Leggins on, but because I redyed them, I cannot get it to go back to look the way those 3 NPC’s look in Silverwastes, the ones who wear the armor set. It glows but in some sections shaded, when I first got the armor pieces, by default, they looked that way too, but I redyed them, now I cannot get the original coloring back. See what I’m saying now?

Sounds like maybe you just don’t have the right color dyes to match the npc’s. Sky dye iirc is a pretty close match to the blue they use. So is Robin I think.
Try dyeing the armor piece all one color then redyeing. I couldn’t get a pair of boots to hold a new dye once and that fixed it.

This is most likely the correct answer. Also sorry for calling you a man
Another option maybe, retransmute your armor to the old look, use the dye eraser on that or redye it, then reapply the luminescent.
Carpace, to my knowledge, is dyable.
Luminous, to my knowledge, cannot be dyed and is forever teal.

Nope, you can dye them, even though only certain parts (the non-luminiscent ones) are influenced.
Also, enameled dyes (high saturation) from what I read somewhere works best on the lumi armors.
I now exactly what you are talking about because I have the same issue. You have a luminescent piece of armor which you then dye to different color(s). When you try to “remove” the dyes to restore it to its original “luminescent” look it doesn’t work, it ends up some weird random colors it never was to begin with. You shouldn’t have to re-dye something to get it back to its original, that’s what the dye remover is for right?
Anyway, the only way I have found to fix it is to transmute it with the original luminescent skin, which of course takes a transmutation charge.

My lumi gear is a dyed a mix of Celestial and Enameled Blue. It’s pretty sweet.
