Hi, I’m planning to grind out one of the new ascended back items. It looks like a good idea to stick to one currency and map to make this process quicker, however I have no idea which choice is most efficient. So, should I go for Blood Ruby, Lava Skull or Icebrood Horn Backpack? Also I’d be grateful for any additional tips to doing it.

Icebrood Horn Backpack from Bitterfrost. Farm all the Berries & chests daily on all ur characters (I hav 9 Lv.80’s total). You’ll most likely make more than enough Unbound Magic b4 u get the Berries required, but thats ok u can get a ring & necklace if u want to nxt

I also found that the Ember Bay back was pretty easy and quick.

Bitterfrost is probably the easiest and quickest because of the node farm. Doing the dailies and getting all of the nodes gives you 70+ berries per character and usually doesn’t take more than 30 min. It’s also the easiest way to get unbound magic.

I ran various numbers and it is between the ember bay one and the bitterfrost one when it comes to number of days, what you do, how many items you gather, how many characters, how much time/day, etc. The zone UM item you get the least of per day is in Bloodstone Fen but you need as many (200) from there as you do in ember bay. I would recommend getting one from each zone so you have the skins though. I am getting them from Bitterfrost and Ember then getting 3 rubies/day from my home instance to eventually turn in for a bloodstone backpack.
