It seems that the only thing that can protect from an Elder dragon is another Elder Dragon.

Seems that LS S2 is building up to the revelation that the Sylvari were originally dragon minions, but are being sheltered by the Pale Tree. Hence their immunity to being raised as undead.

The only reason we were able to defeat Zhaitan was through exploiting the mysterious water orb which prevented the dead from rising. It’s not a huge leap to suggest that this is an orb of the Deep Sea Dragon (our dear Bubbles).

My main prediction is that the rise of the deep sea dragon will involve the annihilation of Fort Trinity. Won’t that be fun? But also that we’ll need to continue exploiting the inactive dragons to defeat the active one. We’ll see if Season 2 bears up my theory.

Well dragons are essentially magical beings which have been around -forever-. Most magic/ magic artifacts are either directly created by something they pooped out, or an indirect creation (zypherite magic anybody?)

This could have been the case. If not for the fact that we have had creatures corrupted by multiple dragons in-game since release.

Attention, spoiler….

I’ve read somewhere that the seed of the Pale Tree, with other seeds, was guarded by enemy plant creatures.
So I guess that those seeds (or those Pale Trees) were in fact Mordremoth minions (his champions like those Tequatls for Zhaitan?) and the one Tree that produces the Sylvari was turned to good by Ventari and Ronan. It would explain why the Sylvari are so fragile to get sort of corrupted by Mordremoth (Scarlet, Aerin..) – even though their Pale Tree is good, they can be brought back to their original purpose – serving the dragon.

In fact, I’m a bit scared what could happen to the Pale Tree (we’re going to visit her in the next episode…) – could she also get corrupted? Would it make sense for the devs to cut off the head of an entire (playable) species? Is she going to be the new arch enemy? Well, we’ll see I guess.

PS: In which story mission do we find out about that water orb? I’ve played the whole story 3x but can’t remember.

Thanatos, I beleive it’s the personal story one where you have Apatia with you and have to deal with the Krait. When you choose what you fear the most it’s the “making another suffer” choice.

Not naturally, though.

As far as we know.

But the fact still remains that being corrupted by one Elder Dragon does not give you immunity to another.
