Longbow! I want to be able to decide if I’m going to start going for that or Nevermore. Right now, I’m just hoarding ridiculous amounts of Elder Wood!

I hope it doesn’t look like a kitchen utensil or something, whatever it is.

And P.S. I would like to see a legendary designed in the style of Aurene, we got Balthazar’s torch (Flames of War) so maybe they will continue to make legendary with Gods or maybe Aurene as I said before. But personally I like the legendaries with animals (I am kinda disappointed that Chuka and Champawat is shortbow not longbow).

We’ll see.

If it’s Aurene-themed I hope it’s a longbow so I shoot flying Aurenes at enemies. :P

An amazing new sword would be great.

Currently thinking on if I want Bolt or not. Doesn’t work that well with my mesmer main and I would love to have an amazing sword legendary to fit Astralaria (if we get axe with the next elite spec).

Besides that, I just hope it looks great and people enjoy it no matter which weapon it might be.

yeah same mindd set i want to have something that i can match with astralaria ( for the expac 2 elite ) or with fsp for chrono my money were on timekeepers sword but id like a legendary as well

I was thinking about this and if the sword isnt on ep 6 i was wondering if the team that is making the gen 2 leggies have though of making the anniversary finisher sword into the actual legendary. I mean, i dont see something wrong with that its a cool finisher and the sword defenately legendary material.

It’ll be Hammer and Sword. Sword is ice themed, hammer is fire themed.

It’s obvious we won’t get 2 legendaries. I am sick of the LS3 legendaries. I just expect something like Nevermore or Chuka and Champawat.

Perhaps something with Melandru. Well I am just hoping the gods will come back, so if a legendary would be God-themed I wanna see maybe Melandru's pets or anything about nature. We got Flames of War (Balthazar is on the top), so maybe they will make the Gods-themed legendaries now- it's my big hope!

All I know is that so far they’re following a theme even though anet has stated otherwise. I’m not sure if bolt is suppose to be the cool or silly looking wep and its 100% open to whatever interpretation but something tells me if its sword, hammer or greatsword were in for something silly/comical looking. Honestly the only legendary wep I can personally think of that don’t share the cool/silly thing is axe.

neither Hms nor Flames of warr were silly the designs jsut werent “kitten” for all terms and purposes both these legendaries were “serious”. And also, byfrost wasnt silly.

Yeah I don’t get how HMS is funny. It may not be “cool” but it’s not something like Kudzu or quagganshield. And I personally like it.

Players should voice better what they want if they want a Bad ??? legendary say they a Bad ??? legendary because “serious” is to general of a word.

Bolt isn’t a silly legendary. The silly ones are veyr obvious, like your shield being powered by the friendship you have with a quaggan you keep trapped inside of it. Or a mace that is a disco ball, or a bow shooting unicorns.

Kind of silly-ish: HMS Divinity, Moot, The Minstrel, Flames of War

That’s 7 of 16 land weapon types, or 7 of 29 currently available legendaries (incl underwater ones).

Thats the thing flames of warr and jms are both serious legendaries. They arent cool tho which is what the player base means by serious.

I disagree. I think most people think “serious” is simply “not laughable at”. Which is why so many Legendary Weapons arent serious, even when they aren’t intended as jokes.

But thats the thing flames of war isnt a laughable one the design is not legendary worthy but the legendary as a whole is not a joke. Stuff like shooshadoo are cleary a joke. Stuff like flames of warr are serious legendaries that just look bad and bad doesnt translate to joke.

I doubt they’d do Magdaer – if Magdaer will ever become a player weapon skin (if it even can be since it’s technically supposed to look like Sohothin and the Fiery Dragon Swords from the HoM), it’ll likely be in the same manner as Caladbolg.

Yeah but caladbolg and magdaer dont hold the same value nor had the same importance.

They kind of do. They’re both mythical weapons in the lore standpoint – Magdaer even moreso than Caladbolg. Though Caladbolg has had more direct relation in GW2’s narrative, Magdaer has equally – if not more – importance in the lore.

My feeling is they are holding the relevant legendary weapons for the next expansion so they have a sellpoint.

They’ve stated that they’ll keep launching the gen2 legendaries with LW, both ep 6 and with season 4 after the expansion; they will however not require the new expansion.

I’d love at least because you know its the finale to get a more iconic weapon type. Like sword ^^

funnily enough sword is one of the less represented in the gemstore.

I thought they added a sword that was both fire and ice themed..can’t remember the theme..but it’s the most “thematic” skin related to this expansion if u think about it.

That being said it’s not that great. GS they just added the god slayer thing….and if u want to dual wield …i would personally go for fire and ice swords that look almost identical in design. Can’t remember the names. One is from GW1 achievements and the other is from Jormag

Since Anet likes to, for whatever reason, have a “funny” and a serious skin the new sword will be a one week old baguette with crumps as footprints.

Axe tho staff torch these werent part of the rule. But, i would buy that baguette.

I really hope it will be the sword, and I pray to the Six everyday that it won’t be funny themed (like the ridiculous new rifle and shield) but it will have some kind of cool and kitten theme.

I would like if anet went 1 step further and made a gen 2 leggie and the same type of gen 1 counter parts of an eternity like leggie. For example a bolt/??? hybrid that changes during day and night. Id really like that.
