Honetly I won’t be surprised if we have to wait until the 2nd expansion to see it. We have seen little sign that she has actually been building Scruffy 2.0 beyond “I am still working on it” saying.
Though it would be interesting if Scruffy 2.0 reveal was actually Engineer 2nd Elite Spec reveal.

I could see that. I just feel like they wouldn’t have Lazarus attack RN without giving Taimi a means of defense. Asura don’t like having their experiments tampered with! =)
I say this now as i’ve allready 400k+ crystal cores. Kralkatorik is in this mess and next expansion will be in crystal desert fighting… the margonites!! Lazarus is a margonite!!! And finally the crystal lodestones will have some use T-T let me dream……

2 more episodes in this season. That means the season must end around Aug/Sep. Presumably the xpac follows a couple of months later.
The opening sequence says ‘Kryta in danger’ and the surroundings certainly look Krytan. The area does look a little like the mid east end of Lake Doric, but looking from the opposite side. Perhaps a new bit of Lake Doric.
Clear Asura architecture where Jory and Kasmeer are trapped.
Kasmeer seems to recognize someone. Perhaps it is personal or maybe something more god-like.
There are parts that look like Tarir/Auric basin and othe parts that look like the Fire Islands.
Possibly new areas of both.

I feel like the purple aura around Lazarus is important. They seem to be focusing on it for some reason. As far as the new map I’m pretty sure it’s either next to tangled depths or the fire island chain. More than likely the fire island chain. Just with a tropical portion on at least one side of the island. As to kasmeers reaction I don’t think that’s a matter of it being Kyle or Anise but it is strange that we see her reaction over the others.

Purple aura probably means mesmer under illusion. I’d say it’s Anise, but I’m not sure she warrants that much of Kas’ surprise.
Have you seen the face of Kasmeer in the end? “No, it cant be” she said! What’s that supposed to mean? Is it about Lazarus or what? Is this Primordus!? Or Balthazar?!
All the Lazarus stuff looks to be in Taimi’s lab environs (and yep, sure does look like a Scruffy 2.0!). But that sub arriving at a shore is clearly somewhere new. There’s unbound magic floating over the water to the left and upthrust rocks that look unfamiliar to me, as well as a vista that isn’t any vista we have yet.
Kasmeer’s new outfit is only teased but looks rather … floral. It may be yet another with shoulder fluff that detracts from the overall look, but there’s no telling from the tiny fragment we can see.
What if this new area of the game is somehow underneath rata novus (like gilded hollow) as we as the player have to break our way back into Taimi’s lab in order to save Kasmeer and Marjory.
Would explain the huge rock overhang in that image above and the flora around.

That’s also a possibility! Kormir did say she would look after humanity and I’ve been wondering where she’s been. Also look at the Revenant class. Blindfolded just like Kormir.
Also: Note the words “boils” (to finale) and (the deception will) “burn”. Looks like a fire theme and that could mean Primy or Baddazar.

This fits the episode name being this is a critical point/stage in the storyline which “lazarus” suddenly causes/creates a significant action that will lead into episode 6 and the beginning of the 2nd expansion in episode 6.
