Etymology of `the biconics`
It’s the devs name for them
Biconics, as in B-Iconics, or B-Class Iconic Characters (ie. 2nd tier notable characters). The A-Iconics (A-Class Iconic Characters) are Destiny’s Edge (Ritlock, Caithe, Zojja, Er, etc).

So the developers tacitly acknowledge these aren’t the most interesting of characters and we still get to spend the LW content with them? Awesome.
Anyway, thanks for breaking that down. I suppose it’s also an attribute of this group’s poor development that they can’t even be bothered to name themselves. With both Taimi and Rox coming from cultures where teamwork is highly valued you might expect that one of them at least would suggest a name.

That’s not what that explicitly means. It simply means these are the second group of “iconics”. They are definitely second chronologically which could very well be what the devs mean. It’s up to individuals if they want the label to imply “second class in quality”.

You see Ascii is technically incorrect in terms of B-Class. More along the line of A-Group and B-Group. So no need to be cynical.
They’re called the “biconics” because they’re the perfect pixel manifestations of B movie stars.
A fantasy of sci-fi cyborg implants grafted into the desiccated flesh of Guild Wars’ corpse.
Well, I like them. But I agree that they REALLY need a name.
The main issue is, if they’re supposed to be “our team”, how can they have a canon name? Any universal name given to them would be handed down by ArenaNet, and may or may not be something we would like.
