Events in open world to progress story.
Really, because I think it’s a pretty good idea. Since, you know, our stories are about the world and are supposed to impact it, having stories take place in and impact the world is a good idea.
Bugged events aren’t, but I don’t think anyone’s arguing in favor of that.
Oh, great! It’s such a great idea! No one could think of a better one!
… Said no one ever.
Actually quite many people did.
And quite many people don’t like that everything was instanced.

The main thing I dislike about the events is a scaling Elite which is only really vulnerable to conditions with a time limit on top of that. Come on ANet, are you serious?
Also, events/open world quests are annoying for people with a slow PC, but I guess that’s more their (and my) problem.
They’re making conditions have a use in open world content? Bullkitten, what happened to the Anet I know and love?
I hate to say it but waiting for champs to spawn with a huge zerg is really reminding me of a certain now disbanded champ train. Things were going so good with the LS up to that point, so I feel pretty let down. Very stalled and awkward pacing for a storyline as well. No sir…I don’t like it!
Edit: Of course it’s bugged now anyway (killed the champ twice, 20min spawn timer) and no progression…so maybe when it works correctly it’ll be a more smooth experience.
