Explain this vine to me
Well that turned out to be a really big oversight on anet’s part haha!
It went through the wall first then through that panel then up.
It uses the same kind of magic that the wurms summoned by the grawl hunters use on that ledge on the mountainside going toward the Priory. The aetherial magic of “3D modelling limitation” and the confusing power of Lyssa, the one we generally refer to as “oversight”.
invisible ley line.
Mordremoth is so powerful, he rejects your reality and substitutes his own.
I don’t see what the problem is. Looks vine to me.
There is nothing wrong with it.
People always find some reason to vine.
I feel like a bit of weeding may reveal the root of the problem.

that cutscene finally makes sense.
It’s possible that the vine comes through a not so visible mist portal.
Jormag already did get into mists, why not Mordremoth with the sudden surge of magical energy and expanding corruption…
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.
Have to ported into the middle of one of these vines? Can’t move… it sucks if you don’t know what’s happening.

2 thumbs up—-best post in a long time!

Don’t worry guys, I plant to investigate it real soon.
It is growing through the center of the wall… please see early day wall construction of for example the China Wall… There are 2 lines of bricks used, and in the centre of them sand and gravel is compacted (and in the case of the China wall some corpses were allegedly buried in it as well) …
Then to cross the gap, usually timber is being used, which is then covered by masonry, the bottom/sides of the timberwork may or may not be left exposed, in this case it is not left exposed and covered at the sides by more masonry…
So in ‘reality’ you would find some stones and mortar pieces on the stairs, where the vine broke through… leaving out that bit of detail, while explaining things a bit more, doesn’t make this an entire mystery. At least if you have any knowledge of construction

what the hell, why not…
the thickness of the vine doesn’t match the thickness of the wall.
also, it might be unclear on that picture, but you can see the base of the vine dangling from under the ceiling.
now make funny jokes about it like everyone else on this thread >.>
It’s not a vine, it’s a cutting.
The priory intends to stick toothpicks in it and suspend it in a cup of water in an attempt to grow their own Elder Dragon.
LOL

Then are we sure it’s actually ‘the base’ of the vine? Maybe it’s showing that Mordremoth is male ?

It’s corrupted! Ever seen a plant grow in between sidewalk cracks? There’s bound to be enough dirt in the cracks of that fort for most anything to grow. Nature abhors a vacuum.
We all know vines can separate at will. Now we only need a vase to make it a pretty flower.

Wow, neat find. In all seriousness, maybe Mordremoth has “vine spores” that could grow into areas like that without being connected to anything? Or Taimi was wrong about the huge vines being part of it.
Still probably just an oversight on their part…
