I’m going to try and keep this short. First of all, due to the possiblity of ragespasms, I want to state that I really like the concept of the Living Story. I have enjoyed the events since release and I’m looking forward to more improvements and more story.

- Still, there are certain things bothering me.
The Flame Legion and the Dredge. Their master plan to conquer Tyria only ever takes place in two zones of the world.
- My problem lies in that they don’t seem like a threat, really. There is no apparent success in any of their endeavours.
- How about if they had taken over the zones and changed things radically while they were there. A few periscopes and portals is all they have to offer.

I’d like to see more threatening encounters, and the possibility that players might fail, because I don’t really take part in any events where the players fail.
- We’re always succeeding, and while this shouldn’t bother us, that we are able to defeat our enemies, it just make it seem like that we are constantly fighting the small fry.

- What if the Molten Alliance had taken over The Black Citadel and Hoelbrak, or at least tried and there would be fighting.
- They wanted to take us all down, but they never even scratched the surface of any capital.

I think players need to be challenged, needs to be pushed even further. Have us hate our enemies. Real tension is when we are fighting a losing battle (or so it should seem), fighting impossible odds with but a slight chance of success
- I don’t feel like that as of yet, but I am excited to see where these Living World Events will take us in the future, and I hope to see more of the above.

- Hope you guys can follow me on that.
Let me know what you think, pros or cons and/or additions to the idea.

Aside from the saturday morning cartoon attitude of the flame legion in general, I never got the impression that the MA wanted to take over all of Tyria. There isnt a real conclusion at the end anyway but apparently they were just puppets for someone else. Tbh I’m not expecting much from this on a grander scale and believe they should stick to localized stories with tenous connections at best. They can deal the large tales about saving the world in the personal stories for the expansions (eventually).

i totally agree with you sinifair. I kinda miss the real danger of enemies and because of that there isn’t that epic feeling when you are playing. It would be pretty awesome if the environments are really changing and it will be much harder to stop enemies from doing so. That will almost make the living story amd the game perfect in my eyes.

It was supposed to be a menace unlike any Tyria had ever seen.
- I think that is slightly overstating it, even though I think they are the first hybrid race Tyria has ever seen.

Basically, I don’t mind them starting out as localized, but letting them reach some form of crescendo, instead of just having a zerg taking care of them before they even get a chance to join the party.
- Kidnapped some friends of Rox and Braham. I hope there is more to them than that. Maybe some bigger picture yet to be revealed, but I was (although it provided for some fun content during the last two chapters) somewhat disappointed.

- Personally, I would’ve liked to see them becoming more of a threat than this, and I hope that the future living story content will provide some of that.
- As for the new Secrets of Southsun Cove, I don’t mind if it is localized there. It suits that story better, but the Molten Alliance wanted to snuff out the other races, one capital at a time, but we found their hideout before they could even do that.

- If saving it for a personal story suits you better, maybe they should go for some kind of content like in the Razing to better provide this, with a form of instanced content.
- Personally, I’d like to see both socialized content, and something more solo to add to our character’s experience through Living Story content (such as the instanced PS like from the Razing).

The Razing, mate. It says “A hybrid army erupts through fiery portals in the Shiverpeaks. A Molten Alliance between the dredge and the charr Flame Legion has created a force powerful enough to massacre any who stand in their way. One settlement, one homestead at a time, they’re wiping out all resistance. The razing has begun.”

- I kinda got the idea that the Molten Alliance would pose a bigger threat than they did… but it did boil down to only one homestead, but hardly all resistance… and hardly powerful.
- I need a sense of danger to these threats… otherwise it’s not a threat, wouldn’t you agree?

Don’t worry about the english, it’s understandable.
- I also think that the World Bosses (The Shatterer, Tequatl and the Claw of Jormag) would do well with more powerful skills, or at the very least some tune up.
I have never heard of anybody going to fight the Lieutenants and lose. And ANet said that if players do nothing or fail to eliminate them, then they’d begin taking over the area… which means that there is a lot of content that we’re missing out on, unfortunately.

- Anyhow, I hope that the Living Story content can be improved even more.
I don’t find the Consortium interesting at all. Not even remotely. If there are some decision makers’ who don’t know how to run their company and tries to make Southsun into a paradise, then what do I care? Such ignorance is why we choose the Black Lion Trading Company anyhow. :P

I hope for more interesting story, and more interesting encounters.
- GW2’s biggest flaw seems to be the story, and the lack of interesting encounters and characters (although I found Braham and Rox a bit more compelling).

Well that description still holds true if all the MA wanted was to take over Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau, and from the view of any Norn or Charr living there it would be terrible enough – but that doesnt make them a threat bigger then the elder dragons that aim to wipe outthe whole world.
