I saw someone mention something like this around here, somewhere, can’t seem to find it again, but anyway, why don’t our characters have one or two or more friendly centaur friends by now?

While we’re at it, how about the tengu? Did we send anybody to talk to them about Mordy? Are they at all concerned with what’s going on?

Centaurs are clan based and is not structured like the 5 races that they can call upon everyone for help, some centaurs will maybe help some day, who knows.

But I am surprised about the Tengu, specially since they seem to be a very organized race (that blocked itself from the rest of the world though, if you notice all the big gates being guarded) that could potentially be affected by the dragon. And since they’ve been “observing us”, i dont understand why they would not reach out.

EDIT: maybe they are just not concerned of the threat (like the other 5 races), but our accomplishments mean very little to them, so we dont have the influence to make them attend.

Well, the tengu are struggling to keep their lands safe from primordius minions, as they come from beneath the ground up. They’re going to need assistance at some point, but they’re not yet ready to accept it.

Tengu are isolationists, you can see it when Scarlett attacked and they not only locked themselves inside the domain of the winds, they actively attacked anyone getting too close to the gate, regardless of whether it was scarlett’s forces or not… and to be honest, can you blame them, considering that humans from Lions Arch used to hunt them for their feathers? (ahem http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_feather_farming ). There’s even a tengu merchant in Lion’s Arch that isn’t allowed in either, his parents migrated from Cantha before he was born and now he’s seen as an outsider because he can’t speak their language.

No matter how much trouble there is inside chances are they won’t reach out for help unless they’re absolutely desperate… maybe a massive vines attack might do the trick?..

If they include some lore bit about humans hunting tengu for magical speed implements …. well, someone ought to reward them for that one XD

With the situation during the invasion of LA, I can understand why they were killing anyone that came to the gates. There’s no easy way to identify who’s a civilian and who’s a pirate hellbent on pillaging. Heck, the civilians of LA ARE pirates, or descended from them.

Mordremoth, however, went straight through the Dominion of Winds to stick some tendrils into LA, so there’s probably no way the Tengu will be able to sit this one out. The wall is already breached.

Should the Tengu come forth from their isolation we will have to shoot them all because one can never tell for sure who is a refugee fleeing for their lives and who is just “hellbent on pillaging” or worse, corrupted by a dragon. Especially if they come through that LA gate. I see no other alternative, unfortunately, just like the Tengu did during Scarlet’s invasion. They will surely understand that.
