Frostgorge Sound Fenris Bugged
Yep had that one too … event chain broke. Joined a different map where made it to the three shamans, killed all but just two of them went to the big totem in the middle blocking progress. After spending almost an hour waiting and map hoping in Iron marches this is getting pretty annoying.

He’s stuck on waiting for Yaks for 15 minutes while an unrelated caravan escort event passes in the distance. Blah.
i finished fenris’ chain, but there’s no way to interact with the totem to destroy it, so i’m stuck again :/
EDIT: about 5-10 minutes later, it respawned. so i pressed F on it and it broke down

I tried to destroy the totem all night and no luck.
Hopefully, it will get fixed soon.
I’m waiting for the yaks to arrive right now, still no luck, still bugged.
I’m stuck on Fenris now because the event was farmed before I could reach it.
These collisions between the story and open world farming are incredibly frustrating and utterly asinine.
Why hasn’t this been fixed?

Well, half an hour later, now I know. Since this thread came up first in a Google search, here’s what I did:
I entered the Svanir camp and waited by the totem because I didn’t want to miss the necessary event again (destroy the dragon totem). Eventually the event chain came back around, I was able to help defeat the converted ice shamans and use the totem to destroy it.
I waited by the totem to make sure I didn’t miss the event, because the first time I was sent there from the grawl camp, there were over a dozen players working the Svanir camp, and the event was over before I could arrive. Turns out that meant the longest possible wait, which means between 20-30 minutes.
Should the same happen to you, it’s likely you can follow the event chain while you wait to pick up some more credit, and should be able to participate in the dragon totem event without any trouble, even if it’s heavily farmed.
Meanwhile, these collisions between the Living World story steps and open world events (the same thing happens with Mordrem wolves in the Iron Marches) reflect a design philosophy that doesn’t consider actual conditions in the game and insufficient testing of a critical game component.
This bug was reported, discussed in this thread and others, should have been fixed at least a year ago, and still plagues players to this day.
