Basically sums it up.

Living World is exclusionary.

Living World only promotes more PvE.

Living World just saw a buff w/ 3x’s the employee’s dedicated to it.

Living World is just LAME.

20s off waypoints. YIPPY!

And a ton of the bugs they work with are for people finding ways to cheat in PvP. Doesn’t seem like it’s lacking in interested players.

My question though is this: You seem to be mad that all these Living World events are PvE oriented. They are after all the actual world (environment, it’s mobs, and the NPCs) and how it’s changing at present. How would you suggest this be made PvP driven? I don’t consider fractals, dungeons, stuff like that PvP. How would changes to the physical (digital, whatever, lol) world and it’s inhabitants be Player versus Player? Have players be able to summon ancient gods that can destroy a city? I’m not understanding the complaint.

Living World isn’t really about PvE. So far it’s been primarily jumping challenges, mini-games and festival achievements which are nearly all summed up as “move to object x, press f”.

PvE means Player Versus Environment. The vast majority of the Living World content has nothing to do with playing against the environment. Mini games are PvP, jumping puzzles don’t fight back (they are in the environment, including PvP environments) and aside from two dungeons, pumpkins don’t fight back and the hologram spawns etc are basically no different from loot piƱatas.

PvE is the bulk of the game. Its the main part…ofcourse it gets the most focus, and it should. I love WvW, but I know its not the main part of the game. Its a side thing, a bonus game mode.

Yes. Arenanet has over the past year more than conclusively established that this game is PVE country.

ofc it is. PvP in this game, in my opinion, sucks.

WvW has pve mixed in there….and it also has no actual winner in the end. You accomplished nothing during the two weeks and if your server has no night time watch force, it sucks even more as you have absolutely no control of what is happening.

Spvp/Tpvp is a bit more fun than WvW but still sucks. Its all about control points rather than actual PvP. Is it so hard to come out with PvP modes that are actually interesting? swtor had more interesting PvP modes than this game and that game wasn’t really all that good. Specially the football like game, which I don’t remember the name of, was pretty fun and seems a lot better designed than most Anets “mini pvp games”.

So yah, this game is pve.
