GW2 needs new LS content the scale of CP/Teq
I think such things have their place, but they are NOT for everyone.
Still, it would be nice if the people that wanted such things could have access to them. Say, six such big events (and I don’t consider Teq to be such an event) on a rotating schedule, with a new one moving into the “live” spot every two weeks? Two weeks would give those that want to do it a fair shot at getting new people up to speed on the event and getting it down, but not be around long enough that people get bored with it and just quit thinking about it. Then, a 2 1/2 month wait for it to show up again is enough time for people to want to see it again, but not so long that it’s an impossible wait for those that missed it last time.
Just don’t make them required in any way, shape, or form. Not only will it make those that want to avoid the events happy, but it will make those doing the events happier as well because they won’t have a bunch of “I hate this” types being forced into their events and possibly dragging things down.
I would also make them something that MUST be triggered, with a reasonable cooldown (30 minutes?) between events before it can be restarted.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
We DO have such a place. It’s called “Dry Top”. Seriously, once you get a T4/5 group going, you can make some good money in there.

I don’t count Dry Top as such because there’s too many other things to do there. Too many people are there for reasons other than to get a T4/5 going.
The Crown Pavilion was, to me, near perfect. Other than to actually do the event, the only reasons to go into there were the exclusive vendors and the Gauntlet. Had those been moved to elsewhere, then it would have been a small zone focused on that one thing only. A group could even somewhat control when the event triggered. Getting the best rewards took teamwork and understanding the event, but even if you messed up you could still get some rewards for the effort.
I’d like to see things like the Marionette event recreated in its own, separate mini-zone or instance.
