Guild Wars 2

I just want to express my disappointment and surprise about the game’s growth. Yes, there have been all of these random events (holiday celebrations) and the Scarlet fiasco spanning a few months now. There’s been new Gem Store items and crafting, and PvP/WvW improvements. That’s a good amount of stuff.

HOWEVER, I fail to see why the devs haven’t explored all of the rich lore and story that so obviously presents itself. There was no need for a new line with this Scarlet character, unless she is secretly tied to what’s already been established (i.e. Dragons and warring factions, etc.). There’s nothing to even think about! It’s all been established in the lore, now all you have to do is expand on it.

There’s so much there…why is it not being used?!

And also, not to undermine what is being released now, but it doesn’t look like an immense effort was put into it’s creation. Either that, or there are only a few people assigned to each release. I appreciate the new content, and some parts are very well made. But a whole dev team could do much more than just this, right? If more of the teams focused on one bigger release, perhaps it would be better? I’m sure no one would mind waiting a little more time for a bigger release. I’m no dev, just some suggestions.

1) It seems Scarlet is tied to elder dragons.
2) I think that Scarlet in general is here because devs want to find a way how to tell story the best and having a new character and trying that on it is better than possibly ruining established lore.
3) I hope and think it will get better and I guess we’ll get something big in first quarter of 2014.

Basic mechanics and all that have been added to game since its launch and I think it kinda ends with adding ascended armor now. From that point, I think the focus on the meaty things will be greater.
