Guild Wars 2

Hey all,

I decided to play gw2 again as i stopped playing after two weeks from the game launch. I see that there is a lot of stuff changed and I read about the living story season 1 not being able to play it anymore. So is it useless to follow the story now? I mean, i can’t go back to living world 1 so It feels kind of pointless following the story or even kind of play it at all because i am missing so much content

Any ideas on this?

I started playing the game a year ago and by that time the living word season 1 is already over. You can kinda just get a feeling by reading the wiki and checking out some youtube videos

I still did the personal story and living season 2. They are pretty well made but it is not mind-blowing good type of thing that you can’t miss. Currently, if you want to play season 2, you need to pay gems. So unless you are really the kind of person who is into the story, you probably can just skip it.

If you know someone with all of season 2 you can still join them but not sure if u will get the rewards or not at the end.

Apart from that semantically your title makes no sense – you should rather write coming back or returning – I suggest you just read the synopsis about season 1 in the official wiki. You didn’t miss much though. There weren’t much unique areas or zones you missed:

You won’t get any rewards, though you will get the experience of doing it.

You stopped playing two weeks after launch? GW2’s a bit deeper than Donkey Kong.

It’s sort of like following pro wrestling. You can never start watching because there’s been a continuous story for the last 40 years, without a break. Therefore, no one can ever watch it again.

As you play, you pick up the story and move on. The further you get, the more you understand.

And, like wrestling, you can go back and watch the videos and read descriptions of what happened. Or ask someone to tell you.

You can just read about Season 1. I heard from my guildies it wasn’t all too amazing. Even if you are hardcore into the story (like me). Not worth the pain and effort to run through it yourself.

Season 2, however, is fairly good. Especially the second half. Things really pick up and mostly is what matters when it comes to HoT.
