Hard to get immersed into the story
Not from the Baldur’s Gate generation I take it …
Heh, or Planescape: Torment. “Back in my day, we read a novel’s worth of text in our video games, and WE LIKED IT!”
I’m 25 years old. And have played a lot of old school games.
We could all just go back and pick up our gameboy, but lets just realize that gaming development have moved forward.
And now that I think about it, a lot of old games handled the presentation of text much better than GW2.
My complaint wasn’t that I have to read, but the way it’s presented, it doesn’t have to be this dry.
When I read the text in GW2 I just see a programmed text box. It doesn’t feel immersive or atmospheric in anyway. And this could be fixed easily.
Ofc it’s entirely opinion based, but yeah .. that’s my opinion ^^

agreed and maybe its just me i sometimes got the feeling i need hurry up and read it ?
The problem might be really that my char is a mute what makes me always feel a little uncomfortable beside Majory which for me is the real leader of the 5
Maybe its time we get to speak again like we did in the personal story
let me dream here short by saying i can choose a Voice out of 4 types which have different personalities … Cool/relaxt , Shy/cute , Wise/ all knowing , Agressive /unpatient

Agreed. I’m missing the voice actors they have for the player characters. I know it’s a pain probably to rehire and revoice for all races and genders just for living story as often as it updates, but c’mon. at least for the ending.. Like the world summit in the grove, would have been cool to hear the character giving their actual speech. I could listen to my Silvari lady talk all day, though honestly I love them all.
