Heat Stone Recipe Bug
It shows up under the “Crafting Component” category, I believe. You can also try searching for it under “Heat Stone”. Hopefully that will turn it up. Otherwise, I’m not sure what’s happened either.
Those were the first 2 things I did actually when both recipes didn’t show up. Unfortunately they are still not showing up lol
EDIT: Also, I get that I could just ask a trustworthy friend to simply craft it for me, but that’s not the point. The point is that it is a potential game bug that needs attention.
I’m just curious: after you bought and used the first copy, did it say in the store that “You have already unlocked this recipe!”? I know it does that for other recipes, like the inscriptions from the master crafters or the ones from karma vendors. Even if I have a scroll in my bank, it’ll tell me it’s unlocked so long as I’m on the right character. If it didn’t say that, after using the first let alone the second, means that there must be a bug somewhere.
Yeah, that’s one thing. You did learn the recipes on the right characters, yes? Learned recipes are not account wide; they are learned only on the character that used the recipe itself.
So if you bought the Heat Stone recipe on your Ranger, but you wanted your Warrior (with Armorsmith) to learn it, you need to use it on your Warrior, not the Ranger.
Well, I don’t think the first one could’ve said “You already have this recipe unlocked!” because it was my first recipe I bought. But the second recipe did not say it. Even then if I never bought the second one, it should not allow you to unlock the recipe again on the same character, but on another character with a different profession it does. That’s what happened to me I unlocked the first one on my Warrior with 500 Leatherworker and the second on my Guardian with 500 Armorsmithing. As I remember the recipe can be used on 3 different professions (Leather, Armorsmithing, Tailoring)
Well, then, you shouldn’t have a problem. Now both your warrior and guardian have the recipe unlocked, and can be used as soon as they have enough of the skill. (And you should still be able to see it even if it’s for a higher level.) I don’t know if you’re still upset about it, but at least you’ve found the root of the problem and shouldn’t have it again. And more on the positive side, it’s a cautionary tale for others who might be similarly confused.
Have you been to the vendor with the characters you think you unlocked the recipe sheet on after you unlocked it? Just to make sure you character has learned it.
