Hey guys, just wanted to hear some of your experiences playing the living story/silverwastes.

To start off, while I was commanding amber in an organized defense I saw a box of hammers. As I and another player grabbed a hammer we both rushed over to repair the gate that had been destroyed.

As both of our characters bended over to start repairs admidst an ongoing struggle to protect the fort, we used our hammer on the ground 10 times before I said to the other player, “To be honest, idk if this even works.”

“Yeah, I thought it was suppose to repair the door but it doesn’t seem to be working.”

“Wanna ditch this job?”

“I guess it’s back to killing countless of Modrem… sigh”

Another instance I had almost finished a veteran Modrem event and saw a Mesmer running to me for participation. Instead of finishing the vet, I use Point Blank Shot to toss it over to the Mesmer who used GS 5 to toss him back to another player behind him.

Couldn’t help but be overcomed with a Christmas spirit.

I dunno if it’s all that funny to someone it happens to, but just recently I was defending Indigo when all the fireballs or whatever those things are drop and kill everything around you. I thought I was in the clear until I looked up and all this rubble dropped down on my toon and I was buried underneath the falling ‘wall’.

Maybe this story isn’t a funny one, but it was a good Silverwastes battle story. A friend and I were attempting to defend Blue Oasis on our own. Tactician Mansell was down and we were having a tough time reviving her because of all the mobs. (Especially the Taragriffs.) The timer before the Pact retreated was getting low and I was reviving Mansell while I was being attacked. I knew if I kept reviving her I would not survive, but if I dodge rolled away to save myself, the event would fail. I stuck with the revive and got Mansell back on her feet with 1 second left – a second later I got mobbed by a group of Taragriffs and went pretty much instantly into defeated state. Because Mansell was revived though, we ended up succeeding at the event.

Have had a lot of good times in this map.

I had a similar experiencie as Orion Templar. I joined a new overflow and checked the map, was at 99% before the breach. I was near amber tower and I though i would go to help, but when I did get there I found the npc dead, no players around and the timer on 70 seconds. I just used my elite signet to get there quickly (as warrior) so I had 60seconds cooldown before i could equip the Elite banner to rez the NPC. I would do that just because it was challenging, all the doors and walls had enemies and making my way through them was a good idea
So… at 15 seconds before the timer runs out I was already running towards the fortress, dodged first enemy attacks, a teragryph, skill cooldown is off so I equip banner before I get into combat, find the npc, throw an immobilize to the teragriff aiming at me and throw the Rez banner…… The NPC got rezzed in the very last second and I check the right side timer… 2 seconds. Yeah the freaking npc died at 2 seconds to complete the breach and everybody left that castle because they wiped. But no worries ladies and gentlemens, here there was a ramdom player that was new in the map to save the day lol. You can’t imagine how epic I felt after defending that castle.

After that, I tried to solo the Troll champion… it was a bad idea xD

I tried using those hammers on every possible thing. (Wall, door, oil pot, arrow cart.) Maybe when the zone is finished they will have some use, for now they are just decoration as far as I can tell.

In blue fort the work on the barricades outside the broken gates which also blocks the mordies from entering

I think they work on anything with Xs above them which indicates they can be repaired

I was in an instance where a player was crying about accidentally killed armadillos. It was hilarious & of course – I kept yelling at him to “Quit Killing the Armadillos”. Another player threatened to contact PETA. We were all laughing and enjoying it way too much.
