Q:
How long do meta achievements last?
So far they’ve all been 2 weeks long, and the Tower stuff seems to be lingering longer than that.
Generally if you do them in the first week they’re out, you’re guaranteed to get them finished.
The meta stays until that story is done and the next LW update has started.
The fractured achievements are called Fractal Fortnight, so I’m 99% sure it’s available for 2 weeks (a fortnight)
Even though we get new content every 14 days, the new content and therefore the achievements of the living world stays for four weeks. It overlaps.
The tower might stays 1-2 weeks longer for the illusion that players are working on its disappearance.
Regarding the Fractals: the already existing fractal achievements probably get replaced after the current living world. But only if Anet does its job right here…

Depends on the release. It used to be that the start of each month would last 1 month and the second release of the month would last 2 weeks. That has changed and become more fluid recently – eg the TA one came down after only 2 weeks which caught many off guard especially as it said it was up for October. WVW was I think a 7-8 week meta and the Tower ones have obviously been allowed to continue util the story arc there ends.
The lesson atm is, expect them to last 2 weeks and if they go beyond, then think of it as extra time to do other fun things in game
