Guild Wars 2

I realize by doing events I am awarded these but I am having a really hard time finding where the events are. Is there a way to tell where events are happening? Is there another way to get geodes? I have to say I am really sad to see geodes account bound with so many recipes costing 100+ geodes each and each event gives me around 3 geodes.

A sure bet is the crystal event, the chimera boss event, and the devourer boss event. The first is right by the WP, the chimera boss is at the Lair of the Beast and both are during clear skies.
The devourer boss spawns around the Sparring Rock during a sandstorm.
But yes. I admit that the events don’t exactly give us a decent number of geodes.
