The fact that all of the teaser pictures involving Rytlock have had the Point of No Return logo on them?

The fact that the whole reason for his initial disappearance was due to fighting Mordremoth?

It is rather unlikely that they would show his return in a teaser, since they most likely want to keep it as a surprise.

Wasn’t the reason of his disappearance that he couldn’t care less about Mordremoth as long as his people are under constant harassment from the ghosts. Something along the lines of “Mordremoth is not a current issue for us charr, we have more pressing matters to attend to, only when that is done we will help”.

I could be completely wrong though, maybe that was settled at the Pale Tree party invitation. One more reason why these huge breaks hurt the living story. People forget the point of it.

And sure, that was the logo on his pictures they posted, but the patch won’t be tied to him in my opinion. He might appear at the end of it. As another cliffhanger. Cliffhangers are all the rage with Season 2.

Glints lair was a secret, attack on the Pale Tree was secret, many things were secret but they couldn’t resist and had to put at least a glimpse of it in the trailer.

Rytlock was in fact fighting ghosts. He thought he’d found a ritual to put a stop to their endless respawning, and then it turned out to not do what he was expecting. Sure, he was willing to send troops to fight Mordremoth if the ritual worked and he didn’t have to devote so many soldiers to ghost-suppression duty, but he would have been interested in the ritual even if Mordy was still sound asleep.

That tail clearly isn’t his. It’s brightly colored and looked fluffy, indicating a female charr.

Likewise, I can’t bring myself to care anymore, because it’ll probably be more stupid twists for the sake of twists and bad cliffhangers.

I have a hard time believing that season two will end without Rytlock’s re-appearance. I think the last scene of the episode will be Rytlock returning.

Judging from the trailer, we’ll get no Rytlock and nothing crystal desert related.

Except Turai Ossa, or at least I suspect it’s him.
