Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed The Seeds of Truth, however something was missing and it took me a moment to pinpoint it. Unlike other LS, I could enjoy it slightly differently with my alts because my alts play so differently (Mesmer and Guardian for example) and although the story was the same, it felt different. This time around, they all play the same, with the same skills and armor. This left me a bit sad that I truly couldn’t explore it with multiple aspects of my account and have different experiences.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

I’m hating being Caithe. I built my character with my weapons, skills and build.

Now I’m a lesbian twig with skills that I have no clue how to use. Great.

Considering how many updates have been all about your character, controlling a different character is something neat to say. Still, if you get to know how Caithe works in the game, from my experience, it makes me want to roll an actual thief and complain to Anet that I want her skills. XD

FOR SKYRIM!!!!!

You can play as your own character, or with your character’s skills, if you join someone else’s instance. =)

Party up! or Party down! Lol.

I main a thief and you just wouldn’t use this hodge-podge of skills in any coherent build.

I don’t disagree exactly, but it does ruin the replayability a bit for me. Very much mixed feelings on this

Did you also like the utterly unnecessary cliffhanger at the end while they didn’t even resolve the previous one?

I feel the same as the OP. For me, GW2’s replay value is primarily found in the different playing experiences offered by different professions. There’s none of that in this release, unfortunately. I’ve played 2 characters through Seeds of Truth and my interest is already waning, whereas I stayed happily engaged playing 8 characters through most of the earlier episodes.

Having said that, it doesn’t really help that I don’t enjoy the excessive movement found on Caithe’s skillset and that I loathe the character of Caithe. (This episode only strengthened that, by the way.)

Yah, this is a very good point and one of the major downsides of forcing you into the role of another character. Rather than having different approaches to the instances, there’s one approach, one playstyle, and that’s it.
