Rewards and Achievements

In Season 2, we will be moving away from the concept of meta-achievements entirely and modifying how we handle rewards and achievements for Living World content. Completing the storyline of an episode will grant you a reward at the end of the episode, and a variety of new rewards will be available through the open world content added via each of the episodes.

I’ve been taking a break from GW2 and gaming in general, but when I heard about this, I had to come check it out.

PERMANENT replayable Living Story content?

ArenaNet DID Listen! They did! They did!

Add me to the list: I love you, ArenaNet.

ANet picked a great model with no subs since it fits with what they knew people would do; play for a while, quit, come back when there’s something new going on. On new living story updates my guild would hit 70+ people online, normally we’re around 30-40 people online.

That the game is still B2P and they don’t just give the game away for free is a testament to ANet’s design of the game. Good job ANet!

It is an improvement, I just hope the achievement rewards are not superior to the story based reward.
