Is the LS finally getting better?
Too much jumping using a cheesy mechanic, feels more like a hand held platform addition than meaningful content.
I completely agree.
For once, doing story instanced was fun, interesting and challenging. Okay, there’s still a tiny bit of pointless waiting around, but the story telling was WAY better, and the character dialogue has vastly improved. I am enjoying the new journal system, and like how I feel rewarded, and motivated to go back and repeat it for the achievements.
And I disagree with people complaining about jumping. The compulsory content does not include any difficult jumping. Yes, the goggles are hard to get, but that’s not compulsory. The only people I do feel for are those with lower spec PCs that suffer from FPS lag.

I loved this release. It feels new, the content delivery was better than even the personal story was at launch, and I was engaged with the story the whole time.
Absolutely no zerg. Beautiful.

I especially do not like having to jump using those stupid crystals (I suck at jumping, I’m old, so sue me) maybe Dulfy will come out with a guide within a couple of days with a friggin map. The first little bit w/fighting Inquest was fun, but it’s lame that you can stand on top of the dragon and he just breathes while youu’re in Dry Top. And I was hoping that as last year, there would be events to do in the open world.
On the positive side, since alot of players are doing LS2 the world events like MAW, SB, etc. are alot more fun and even challenging since there aren’t 100+ players trying to get their share of the pie
This content is pretty much exactly what I was hoping to see. Finally some use of jumping and environment. Nearly getting killed by quicksand has got to be one of the best experiences I have had in GW2 (no sarcasm). Then there’s the fact it’s a brand new map and achievements aren’t the only guiding force in storyline. It actually felt like an adventure. I have a feeling this will be a very good year for GW2.
