I would love to see, if the jellyfish is introduced as new playable race in the on going Living Story. With their fleixibility they are highly promoted for perfoming all classes. They even would bring underwater fights to a new peak of excitement. So i see no reason why they shouldn’t be introduced.

They even can walk on land, so there should be no problem.

I have to agree. It’s pretty clear from that picture that jellyfish are the front-runner for new race, and very qualified.

I can see one problem. In PvP thieves and rangers get extra damage from attacking the back. A jellyfish has no back. This would make them OP and immediate nerfs would come their way.

More likely than the Tengu. And I’d much prefer to play a majestic creature of the deep over some kitten faced birdman!

I don’t see the jellyfish joining in the fight against the dragons. They’re all spineless…

And they’re squishy too! We already have a few squishy classes. Do we really want a squishy race?

Squishy race + Squishy class = “This won’t end well.” :P

Not supported. Jellyfish have no eyes and thus can’t be blinded. Therefore, they would be OP.

Little do most of you know, ArenaNet have been thinking of this for a while and got a few accounts to test out this new playable race in Lion’s Arch before it was destroyed.

Sadly, all notes of said playable race were destroyed in Scarlet’s destruction of LA.

ANet, please bring back this tested race. OP or not, this is what all the playerbase want.

Nah… they won’t need regular armor. Jellyfish have natural armor based on what they eat!

Holding weapons is a whole other story tho. I can hardly wait till they release the Jellyfish Engie!

You get exotic light bulbs for inside your head, different colours. The ascended versions blink. Guaranteed no clipping!

Oh and (!) for the pre-emtpive whiners about not knowing where front and back is … L2P!

Racial elite skills include: Rubber jelly skin, reflects all projectiles back to source for 120% damage, lasts 30 seconds … doh.

Instead of saying “I’m so and so and this is my story” they’d say “I’m so and so. You jelly? Cuz I am.”

I would like to perform the voice acting myself, but it should be done underwater, so it is more realistic.

Imagining Zoidberg voicing a Jellyfish and saying some of the typical sort of GW2 lines just made my day. Actually, I think imagining Zoidberg saying anything is great.

World of Warcraft has Pandas, so Guild Wars needs Jellyfishs voiceacted by Zoidberg, because they would be way more awesome.

the mechanic could be divide
when ever you get hit you divide losing half of your health but creates another jellyfish that copies you (uses the same ability’s you do)
if the opponent kills that jelly you go back up to 3/4 health
but if they hit u you divide again losing half of your health again but creating ANOTHER jelly

you could end up with a swarm of particularly easy to kill jellys but all doing decant damage makes them scary!

kitten i actually like this idea… please make an enamy that does this or something itd be awesome

I think if this race wouldn’t come, we should at least replace trahearne through a jellyfish.

This would make a great april fools joke. They could add an NPC that turns players into jellyfish (retaining all their skills and able to go on land) for a day. They should even add a dance animation. It could later be added to the gemstore in tonic form kinda like the bobblehead lab. If they don’t want to animate weapon skills and such they could give the jellyfish physic capabilities and have all the weapons float.

I put way too much thought into this.
