LWS2 *Don't Knock Yourself Out*
I did it maybe 4 weeks ago, took me 4 or 5 tries. I did it with thief and max burst damage, double pistol.
What I learned is:
- kill the mender as soon as he comes into range of your weapon. If you let the mender enter the room, it can happen that you get feared and slowly walk past him while he continous to approach the statue. Or you have to avoid an orb and thereby allow him to do that. If you get rid of the mender before he enters the room, you can focus on other things.
- destroy the fear wards as soon as they appear. Getting feared is the worst thing that can happen to you in that room, make it your top priority to destroy them asap.
- when the orb chases you, focus on it and less on other things. These things are hardly visible at times and I got knocked out without even seeing it. Always turn around to see if there is an orb coming.
- only damage the statue in your freetime. The other things are much more dangerous than the statue if you used ranged (which you should)
With power thief and pistols, damage was no issue at all, no need to deal dps all the time. Kill the ghosts when necessary, but focus on fear wards, orbs and mender, in that order. If the mender makes it to the statue, you still get your achievement, no problem.

First off, learn the orb spawn locations. You definately don’t want to be near one of them when an orb is about to reapear.
Second, definately take 1 person with you who deals with menders. It allows you to focus on fear wards and orbs. Damaging the statue is secondary.
Pick a class that has good long range damage. Take some condi cleanse to remove chill and slow should you get hit.
If need be optimize your sigils. Maybe take Superior Sigil of Energy for that extra dodge every 10 seconds.
I did this achievement way back without safe spots. Eventually you get a rythm to things and it will work out. (I did it solo but helped a friend on his, 2 people is ideal I think)
Thank you both for those suggestions, I did tend to worry too much about the statue, thinking the sooner it is gone the better but will try getting rid of the menders asap. The minions seem to do a good job on the menders once targeted. Will see if taking one person in is better too should I fail too many more times. Sigils of energy sound like a good idea too! I hope the rest of the achievements after this are a walk in the park.
I got it with a friend. And I went through the same problem. A entire afternoon trying it, like 20 tries more.
I would give up until a magic idea came up: necromancer minion spam. There came that feeling “why did not I think of that before?”
Also has a semi-safe spot on the right side of the statue a little behind the stones. It does not guarantee 100%, but the orb takes a lot of time to get there.
U go with necro. ur friend must be almost DPS as possible.
