For many the game has become unplayable with the lag situation.
My suggestion is to add one more week to this living story.
Usually I would have already done the story and be working on getting achievements on any other LS, but I had to stop playing for the lag I got so bad I had to restart the part where you go into the tunnel like ten times.

You can play the Living Story at any time now. Why would they add time to it?

Gummy, the story doesn’t go away after the two weeks because of the new mechanic. All you have to do is log in during the two weeks to get the chapter and then it’s open season. This is how you can replay the LS on characters who aren’t level 80 yet when they reach that point.

My understanding is that only after you get though the whole story before it becomes re-playable. If I look into the hero/achievements/story journal/entanglement the top left achievement is Entanglement Episode: (everything else is locked )
My understanding was that this had to be completed before the achievements in the story journal could be unlocked and the ability to replay the story with the purple stars on the map thinghy.

another thing right now I have not even done the story all the way though because of lag I have repeated the same steps over and over and over. After this is over I may never want to replay any of it again new toon or not I have already been in Scarlet’s room ten times and listened to the conversation so much so that now I want to shoot Taimi when she starts doing her whining and originally I loved this character.

No, you’re a bit mistaken how it works.

1. To unlock a Living Story 2 chapter on your account, you need to log in during the two week period and click that big green star in the right corner. (If you can’t log in during this two week period, you can buy it with 200 gems.) This is account wide.

2. Once unlocked, you can freely do that chapter whenever you like on a level 80 character. Characters who are not level 80 can’t do that chapter, but it will become available to them once they reach level 80.

3. When the story is completed for the first time on a character, you unlock the ability to replay it and complete achievements. This is character-specific. Note that while completing the story on each character will give you rewards once per character, the rewards for completing the achievements is once per account only.

So basically, you have nothing to worry about.

Well this is great news for me as yes I had a big misunderstanding on the actual mechanic. Thanks for pointing that out to me! I guess a dev could delete this if need be then.
