I killed my first three legendary mordrem on patch day. Everything was crowded with players that were doing all the events and also were defending the forts. So I was very impressed from the map and played “with the flow” und without trying I participated in several “legendary mordrem” events, so I killed all but the “legendary annihilator”

And after I checked now my achievement panel I wanted to do the last one, the Legendard Annihilator, but without success

I know it should spawn somewhere around redrock when redrock is defended by the pact.

But actually, in the last two days that I am trying, nearly no-one is interested anymore in defending redrock. Without defending, no chance that the Annihilator appears.

From time to time comes a bunch of players along from the waypoint, they help with one defending event, and then go away again. And then the next “defend redrock” event fails, because there is often just one (me) left there.

I have asked in map chat for help in defending redrock, no one was listening or was interested. I have tried to use the LFG tool to find some map where most of the players where defending the 4 forts or just redrock without success.

But nearly in all maps I have visited (and have gone/looked at other forts) it is that the most people are at amber and farming chests (farming is OK, but not what I want at this point).

And I see that a lot of peoply are asking in map chat if anyone has seen any legendary, but no responses. On patch day the message “legendary … at …” was very often in map chat. In the last two days: not once in the maps I was.

The way , how and what people play in this map has changed drastically since patch day.

Whith this, I think, I will never encounter the Legendary Annihilator.

So, any tipps on finding him?

Find lfg’s for “organized” map, not for the chest farms. There are still some left.

I’m looking for Annihilator too; managed to get one of the other legendaries last night, a lot of people seemed to have the right idea once a commander or two arrived – I think it takes commanders to make it happen really, just like in WvW.

Nobody really seems to know what are the precise mechanics behind getting the Legendaries to spawn, but the following is my working theory:

1. The Fort must be under Pact control. This much is given. People are claiming that the Fort must be at defense level 3 before Legendaries will start spawning, but I am unsure that this is actually true. (Getting it to level 3 certainly won’t hurt though.)

2. The supply level of the Forts is irrelevant to the spawn. I have seen Legendaries spawn at Forts at both level 2 and 3.

3. The Legendary spawns MAY be linked to the number of people in the vicinity of a particular Fort. I say this because when I was in an Amber farm map, I saw the Executioner spawn at Amber no less than 3 times within the space of an hour. Each time there was at least a good 30+ players there. In contrast, most of the other Forts were barely staffed.

The very first Legendary I fought was the Annihilator, but because it spawned before I actually arrived at the Fort, I can’t say for certain how many players were there beforehand.

I killed the Annihilator today, I believe, if that’s the Red Rock one. I got the others yesterday.

I’ve heard that all forts must be at level 3 but I think that means they must reach level 3 at least once, not be there at the time of the spawn. As we were at level two for one of them but had been 4 forts at III.

I’m pretty certain that each Fort checks independently for its Legendary spawn, but I’m unsure if there is a base requirement for all Forts having been under Pact control at least once before Legendaries will start spawning at all.

You don’t need all four forts claimed. We had the Exterminator or whichever the amber one is spawn twice within 5 minutes and all we had was amber.

I too have been waiting for the Annihilator, I only saw him once about 3 days ago, but I was the only one at the time at redrock. Since then i’ve done countless defends but still no spawn, i’ve taken to just sitting on the cliff waiting.

Just killed it maybe 30 min ago.

The best thing you can do if put up a LFG stating that you need it and hope someone joins on you to ferry you over. I did this for a bunch of people as it spawned on my map and I had seen their LFG.

Another thing you can do is form a group and spread yourselves across multiple servers. This will increase the odds of being on a map when it spawns.

Sounds like the whole thing is just completely random. Was there for hours the other day. Saw it spawn once. A friend also mentioned that he was seeing it frequently … maybe my presence is preventing it from spawning. :P

The whole thing is horrifically RNG. I got basically everything on the Tuesday evening of release except the demolisher. I then happened to have both the Wednesday and Thursday off. I basically spent all day both of those days trying to get the mother kitten Demolisher spawn, and— despite the fact that I had a full zerg holding onto and fully upgrading Indigo every Meta cycle— I saw neither hide nor hair of it until about 11pm on the Thursday. Absolutely, disgustingly ridiculous. A real dropped ball on this update. Hell, for game design in general.

Anyway, yes I’ve seen The Annihilator recently (this evening at about 9pm).
For anyone still looking for a legendary, the only advice I can really give is to tag up (if you can), and be a real active force in securing the forts (be vocal, get your bulls in consistantly, etc…). Basically make your fort as appealing to other players as possible; this is purely anecdotal and I have no proof, but it feels like the more people you have at a fort, the more likely it is that a legendary will spawn there.

But really… you’re just gunna have to grit your teeth and be patient :/

Honestly, don’t go looking for it.

Join an organized map, and stick to Red Rock defence. It will eventually pop up nearby and you can go kill it with the rest of the defenders at Red Rock. An organized map will also call out Legendary spawns, so if you happen to be at another Fortress, you can go to the Legendary (try to avoid scenarios where a Fort becomes undefended because everyone rushes to the Legendary).

The content is permanent, there’s no rush to get the title.

I saw that mutiple times, one legendarie kept on spawning at the same location 3 times on a row on sunday at red.

I suggest putting up a LFG post in Open World so that ppl can taxi you in a map when he spawns.

Just scream Legendary in map chat and you’ll have about 25 people show up in seconds. I have never had a problem kill them.
