Heya.

I’m wondering about Living Story compared to the major events Oct., Nov, etc…
And… I can’t by any form achiv the fun I had in those events, in the actual Living Story.

I can’t understand why soo much “teasers”, very little content, almost no action at all.
Just makes me sad, because the old ones, even with the trouble of Lag, Bugs, and One-Time-Events… Those gave me more fun for longer than Living Story is.

But I will wait and see if Living Story in March will be able to bring to fun that the 2012 Monthly Events gave me.

Yah, I definately agree they dragged the “teaser” thing a bit long. 1 month build up perhaps (especially considering they’d just finished with Wintersday which was a major thing) but 3 months is a bit much. I know technically its 2 months but given how late the patch is coming this month, its almost 3 anyway.

That said, it is there first attempt at the whole living story idea. So hopefully in the future it’ll go smoother and quicker.

A few devs have already said they sort of regret bigging up the Jan and Feb content, as it really was teaser content and didn’t deserve the press they had. This month is supposed to remedy that teasing nature, apparently.

“Less Teasers, More Action” Signed!
I can’t find a living world in GW2 anywhere.
Hope it’s getting real in future and not just marketing the whole time…
I don’t know what to do in Tyria, it gets more and more boring
A ‘real’ living story with action and innovative longtime-activities would be fine.
I’m looking forward to Braham’s Struggle & Rox’s Mission and I hope I will not be disapointed again as in the past.

I think I would be more excited about the living story if it updated a little faster. It seems like a really long wait from my perspective to release such small modules. I would think that trying a 3 week release schedule for the living story updates would be more reasonable and keep people more interested in it rather than aggroing people towards it, then losing aggro because there was too big of a gap between content updates. The problem with this would be one of a few things, they would have to prepare another patch per month, or they could move the monthly content updates (like all the WvW stuff coming next week) to the 3 week schedule instead of the monthly schedule that it is on right now.

Personally, what I would like to see in the future is a patch every fortnight. It would seem its just enough time to start losing interest in the previous patch’s contents but long enough between patches, that if you are too busy, you will still have a chance to get in on the action. These fortnightly patches would be smaller than our current monthly patches obviously.

Surely agree with UP there, that it should be all in the monthly build but every Week or something new things come Up in that same Living Story, without Launch all the Content in that Update day, and get without any more content for 1 month till the next update.

The Living Story is something quite new and hard to “just” integrate into an MMO.
- Colin Johanson has also expressed how they are going to use the feedback in these first of them to try and improve on this way of integrating lore.

Don’t expect them to get a perfect first attempt, because it hasn’t really been seen to this extent before.

Right now they are also fixing a lot of minor (and major) gameplay issues (such as the Culling in WvW). I think mainly much of theis not-so-interesting lorewise content is their way of improving some core gameplay so that it works as intended, and basically make this gameplay that we are always going to experience when we log in.

Give them some time to improve their game concepts and designs, and I’m sure we’ll get to see better, more fun and integrating content later on in the lifespan of GW2.
