Liadri
It’s certainly possible to beat her.
The problem with Liadri is that like every single other boss in this game, ranged is always much safer and easier. So I just picked a ranged weapon and started kiting the shadows, worked flawlessly.
Also, another pro tip:
Spec for dmg since the Shadows and the AoE attack will one-shot you regardless of toughness and vitality. You can also use blocks and invulnerability to avoid her AoE if you’re out of endurance.

There’s a lot of ways to deal with the one hit ko’s, which makes it a challenge of how you want to deal with it while keeping track of the boss / orbs / visions.
It’s actually a lot less random than you might think.
Liandri is like playing a racing game where you have to watch the cars in front, behind ,to the side while dodging falling meteors and smashing into a random spawning vortex before it sucks you in.
Liandri is challenging but it’s hilarious. Never have I seen a developer apply so many elements to pay attention to and called it a challenge. It’s like these guys really don’t know what they’re doing. It’s good for a laugh at least. Not worth getting upset over that’s for sure.
This content is challeging. To many people want it easy. I know for one I had to step my game up to be her. Mobs that one shot you are fine when you are given warning and with all the bosses you have plenty of warning or you can prevent it.
This is nothing wrong with punishing the player for failing to do something with death. The could alway do things to punish players in other way but people dont really want that.
They could have npc thieves that steal gold from you if you don’t avoid their telegraph attacks but then people will scream bloody murder. Having to multi task is challeging and if you dont thinkit’s challenging enough you can always add gambits to make the task harder.
Not all the Bosses are one shotters. A true challege has a great risk of failure making the achievement of said challenge all the sweeter once accomplished.
In other games your given gold stars for making a name. This is GW2 and I like the idea that not everyone is able to complete every or all the challenges.
everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth.

NO! People don’t want it too easy we want it to be challenging but not down right ridiculous. The stupid design of the dome making it difficult to see the AOE circles and the buggy camera are infuriating.
I used a ticket this morning and felt confident as i had fought her so many times, Upon entering i was instantly pulled to an Orb and shadow drop was on me before i could even get up. You tell me where the skill is in that.

So the content is only challenge if you can beat it, but dumb if you can not?
To the question of skill….. Stability or stun breaker dodge roll.

Maybe actually read what i put before you reply.

The orbs and everything else spawn at the same time and same place not sure how you get instantly pulled you have like 5 seconds to kill it. The only thing g worth complaining about is the camera and difficulty seeing red circles oh and lag I guess. Everyone else is just peeved they can’t go afk and auto attack this boss beating it on the first couple tries.
This is mostly Anet’s fault they conditioned the player base being use to face roll content so when something somewhat difficult comes out they get paralyzed from the neck down.

Why are you complaining about Liadri? The key element in this fight is movement/endurance. Set your traits accordingly and you’ll do just fine. This may very well be the only real challenge they’ve added for a good while (if not the only). It took me about 30 tries with tweaking, and it feels good finally being able to nail it.
Dont put the blame on Anet, look in the mirror.
I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore
1 hit kills are not unfair when you can avoid or negate them and see them coming even if it’s difficult to avoid. It makes it very punishing to mistakes but that is part of the difficulty.
Now when you have a chance of them in a game where you can’t dodge or block at all its unfair (as you occasionally get in turn based rpgs) but that isn’t the case here.
Getting 1 hit before the boss even loaded on your screen is pretty kittenty and that’s happened to me once or twice. That’s not intended design tho and I’m and oceanic player with kittenty internet.

The difficulty level is ok in itself.
The problem is the “unfair” parts of the fight.
For me this is (in order)
1. Bad rendering – if you have a slower CPU for the first 5+ seconds you can’t see Liadri or the red circles leading to lots of instakills from her first AOE.
2. Unfair hitbox for higher latency players – being from Australia I have been hit by her AOE attack MULTIPLE times even though I am CLEARLY out of her circle on my screen. Because of the latency I still get hit with it… not to mention the times I have died after casting blinks or blurred frenzies that didn’t register in time.
Far below:
3. Bad camera angle makes it hard to see
Seriously if you want to make challenging content thats fine, but holy crap if you want to put it lag central at least playtest it on older computers and higher pings.
