This is probably not the place, but since the in-game living world section of the LFG Tool seems to be hosting every kind of groups, why not extend that feature to the forum section aswell?

Bitter sarcasm aside, I would like to suggest a small change to the lfg tool. Make it so that when a player lists his/her group, he/she has to select a section from a drop-down menu (no default option selected is intended).

This would help with those absent minded players who list their fractal/dungeon group under open world content, cluttering the list and making finding a group for an actual open world content much harder, plus it would help them aswell because they would list the group in the proper channel.
Introduction of a looking for raid section would also help with thinning down the number of entries one has to browse.

The problem is that those players aren’t posting in the living world section absent mindedly, they’re doing it because they get the most exposure there. People don’t necessarily want to go looking in the FoTM/dungeon tab, they just sort of expect everything to be in the LW tab.

The solution would be to not have a default tab and instead force players to click which tab they want to look at (as in, when you open the LFG window it shouldn’t show you anything other than the tabs).

That might be true for those groups saying 5-7-18 because it clearly means fractals, but someone under living world with the tag “Story mode” or “P1-P3”, for as lazy as they can be, how can they expect others to know where they are going?

Definitely there should be no “default” section like it is now, either by forcing a selection when you open it, when you advertise your group or both.

I was flipping through the LFG a couple of days ago and noticed all the FOTM options were greyed out. Despite the fact that both people in the party were eligible to create a group for atleast 1-20 fractals.

We weren’t looking to create a fractal group, just noticed we couldn’t and figured the tool for this section was broken, because there were a few fractal parties advertising in the open world section at that time.
