Guild Wars 2

I just want to check on this. I am not playing this game currently, but if I change my mind in the future I figure I should have the stories to play. I am under the impression that all I have to do is log in to unlock them for free. Do I not need to do anything else for the unlock to be available?

When logging in, you need to enter the game world with anyone of your chars. You’ll see a green star in the bottom right screen corner (same place at Daily or World boss chests). Just click the star and it will say like “Episode X unlocked”.

That unlock is accountwide. But remember you need a Lv80 char to play the instances.
You can choose any chars, even non-80s, anyway. The story and achievements will be unlocked forever.

An added note, you have to log in during the two weeks in which the update is “current”. If you don’t, I believe you can purchase previous episodes by going to the story journal and probably clicking on a button there related to the episode you want to purchase. I haven’t needed to purchase an episode yet though so i’m not sure exactly how it works.

Also, the gem price is supposedly 200 gems.
