Looks like we're going back to the falls soon
Great find.
Oh, Life Pods…how I’m not ready to try and solo two of you healing each other.
Seems so. I am happy even if Manguuma isn’t my fave place in gw1

No kidding. I’m going to be sorely disappointed if after all this time we finally get to explore a new region that turns out to be one normal-sized map split into several.
I don’t think that is changed. I recall it always having looked like that. I know this because I thought it was strange that this particular part of the map was so detailed yet inaccessible.

Yes, it is like that since launch I studied the map a little bit

Attached is the full size of the map, and its edges.
From the looks of it, we’re only going up from here on out.
They’ll prolly ad another map piece later on that goes into the falls.
Magus Falls was always marked on the map since launch. However, if this LS is indeed about Mordremoth (and it likely is), then yes, I agree we will no doubt be going further west.
It looks like they want to release smaller stand-alone zones, but more packed with content and exploration value.
Like Dry Top isn’t any big map at all, but it also has vertical exploration.
I kind of like that. If we eventually get more “solid” content like dungeons (!) along with similar maps to Dry Top (although I doubt we will see that many crystal-play in future), their own mechanics (like sandstorm) and maybe a little bit more interesting/innovative Dynamic Events, I’m okay.

@Rym, Dry Top is only a fraction of a map, you can see on the left and top edges that we haven’t uncovered the rest yet – it’s blurred in the same way that undiscovered areas are blurred, rather than in the same way that inaccessible areas are. That’s also why it presently won’t tell you how many vista’s and PoI’s there are on the map – because there are more to come.
So the map itself isn’t small, we just only have access to a small part of it right now. Once it’s all opened up it should be around the same size as every other map in the game.
The map hasn’t really changed unless I’m mistaken. Meguuma Falls was always present in the map as of months ago before Season 1’s conclusion. However with that being said, oh of course I would love to go back. This has been one of my grueling criticisms towards Living World Season 1, we didn’t explore much of anything – we were taken back to the same zones we could visit on our own.
Which is the primary reason why I enjoy Dry Top, it’s a new and permanent area for us. If they keep this going a week from Tuesday we’ll see the next section and so on.
