I would really like the devs to add a Lore and bookshelf tab in the Hero panel. A collection of the lore that you have unlocked as you have played. also a bookshelf for all the books we have collected recently so they don’t take up all your bank slots. and maybe a key chain for all the map keys. these are things you need but take up so much inventory space. a good example has been made ages ago https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/I-ve-redesigned-the-UI-the-official-website/first

and can be seen here http://builtbyg.com/gw2-ux-ui-redesign-landscape.pdf

I wish I had the bookshelf just so I can spend days scouring Tyria for all kinds of different books like I did in Skyrim…

This has been requested before and I completely agree. I would also like some storage for “keepsakes”. Items you receive from the Living Story and other content that remind you of the story so you don’t want to destroy them.

They were going to do something during the original development, bu scrapped it at the last minute due to resources not being available to complete it and keep it going if memory serves me.

Doesn’t mean it’s not worth continuing to ask for!

+1 to both these ideas. Every once in a while, I still go back and view the cutscene where we first met Marjory. Much cooler back then.

And yes yes yes for keyrings. We’ll probably be seeing more of these quasi-currencies in the next xpac, so maybe that’s when ANet will put that in.

Many alts; handle it!

Yes i would LOVE for them to add a proper UI for books, i hate how even though they are finally doing books in game a bit more they have to do it through the dialogue UI.
Also some kind of storage for books would be awesome as well.

Most wanted in game additions: Beastiary, readable books

I have wanted this for a long time. There are a few ways they could do this.
1. A Lore Page on the Hero Panel, where books you have collected/completed become available to read there.
2. A interactive Book Shelf in your home instance or guild hall, where books you have collected/completed are available to read there.
3. A Library in Lions Arch (this wouldn’t require a big map change, there are many shops in the new LA, just pick one and build a library inside)

I’d like said bookshelf to be an item in one’s home instance.

I agree.

I’ve got multiple books in my bank which are obviously intended to be kept (because they’re interactive objects that replay cut scenes or allow you to re-read lore). I can’t log in to check right now but if I remember correctly there’s at least 6 of them.

It would be great to have somewhere to store them. Either a Wardrobe style tab on the Hero panel or a physical object like a bookshelf in your home instance.

(I’d also like to see it expanded so we can collect other books we can find in the world, but I’d be happy with just storage for the ones we already have.)
