Kasmeer is going to be tied into Scarlet’s plans and not in a pleasant way for Kas or Jory
—> remember her pricking her finger on a thorn in the nightmare tower? Yea that’s going to come back to haunt us. Especially with the story building of emotional ties between her and Jory

Mysterious probes will be linked to ‘unearthing’/ drawing up of the next baddie that will permanently alter map
—> fiery aura of energy streaming down from top to bottom into ground with continuous pound of the probe+New fractal discussion of the asuran research on ley lines that Scarlet is aware of+hype for upcoming story elements (loosely quoted: …an epic event that will ROCK Tyria to its very core)

+1 to the whole Kasmeer angle. But we will see.

I wish they would use something other than that dumb thorn.

I mean seriously, she may be naked but there are light armor wearers with bikini clothing getting hit by poison arrows, stepping on probably corrupted terrain (like the thorn….), getting exploded by toxic mines.

Also that Toxic Spider does not look very healthy, which we face and kill, but still

I had the same thought with the finger prick. That whole setup seems like a Sleeping Beauty reference to me, and the fact that it was almost entirely ignored by the characters after it happened made me even more suspicious that it may be important later.

I’m really hoping the “rock Tyria to its core” phrasing means we’re going to go up against Primordus, or at least one of his lieutenants. It’s about time for something epic like that to happen.

One way or another, I just hope the Living Story actually ties up its loose ends into a cohesive story, because if it doesn’t, it won’t bode well for the future of the LS.

I seriously hope Kasmeer or Marjory won’t die. Didn’t we have enough characters who died in the personal story? I still miss Sieran, Tybalt and Forgal.

Kasmeer will turn into a sylvari and merge with Scarlet giving us Kasmeerlet!

I doubt the Kasmeer angle with go anywhere. When it was first mentioned I thought it might but the Tower has come and gone and Kasmeer hasn’t changed at all. I think the Kasmeer point was another attempt to make us aware Kasmeer is out of her element. She’s a noble not used to the adventuring life and things that wouldn’t even register on my norn warrior’s radar cause her discomfort enough to vocalise it.

I was watching an old episode of Xena today where Gabriel gets poisoned and Xena takes care of her, forcing Xena to confront how important Gabriel was in Xena’s transformation as a person when faced with losing her to the poison. It would be interesting to see essentially the same plot play out for Kasmeer and Marjory (they even have the same hair colour).

Having said all of that, there is limited story telling time. I don’t want to spend it focusing on minor characters when Scarlet is supposed to be threatening the world. Seeing asura gates blow up in Lion’s Arch and Aetherblades invading the Grove (or some other earth shattering plot), it would be kind of lame to spend time with Marjory and Kasmeer deal with a poison.

As far as character’s dieing, Tyria is a world of conflict. Characters should die often, it reinforces the idea that the world is dangerous and our actions have meaning. It makes villains more threatening and victories more important.

If you all will stop talking about it, it will go away.

When Kasmeer dies.. this would mean her illusion will be gone and she’ll be nakie, right? Oh how I hope!!

Queen Jennah and all 5 members of Destiny’s Edge are murdered, and a new Elder Dragon reveals itself while destroying Lions Arch, for good.

Or they’ll move a few boxes around somewhere to make it more annoying to run in town.
