My Thanks for New Zone
Sounds exciting. Thank you, ArenaNet, for all your hard work! =)
Not to mention the great music coming, as well!
I’ll wait awhile to see if this is a cool endgame zone like Orr, or if it’s gonna be like Southsun. I’m hoping it’s like the latter, and if it is my thanks too Anet!
I get the feeling we will see a new zone every few updates (couple months) certainly appears like they are focusing on the story a lot more now from the previews on gaming sites. I expect these zones to be more like orr than southsun, as in more events and actual story points.
I have been pretty critical lately and wanted to offer my sincere thanks for finally adding a wholly new zone to the game. Thank you!
Explorers haven’t been exactly drowning in content and this is a really nice addition to the game. Awesome!
My thoughts exactly!
Pity it is based on entering via a jumping puzzle. Some of us have trouble with vistas. ;-(
It’s a shame that he whole zone is like one big jumping puzzle.

People said the exact same thing when the Bazaar of Four Winds first released. Then a few months passed and suddenly it was the best patch ever.

Festival of the Four Winds could be completed in Divinity Reach. Big – Big difference!!!! Is there a way around this for those of us that are less capable. And personally I wasn’t very impressed the Festival anyway. TYVM

It’s nothing like that, it’s pretty similar to Labyrinthe Cliffs. A lot of exploring and not very much big events (from what I’ve seen in the first look). The size is comparable to LC too imho.

You need 3 jumps, all the others are optional. Those 3 jumps are pretty basic too.

True enough – then why am I complaining? I’m sure that I can eventually master it or go to a different game that does not require it! My bad!
I like the new zone. Added bonus for me is that it is totally different (as in 180 turn) from the Orr, so it really gives nice variety.
For a visually handicapped person like me the new zone is a major letdown – i have trouble with jumping puzzles, they are not fun for me. And now progress in the Season 2 Episode is blocked for me behind a jumping puzzle.
ANet, you haven’t learned anything. This was your last chance to make this game interesting (again) for me, and you wasted it. You did not create a new PvE area for everyone. I am sure many people will like it, but there are people for whom jumping puzzles are a major challenge and no fun at all.
I will go on seeking some fun elsewhere in the game where i can play, and as soon as a decent new game like ArcheAge gets out i’ll be gone.
The new zone is balling even though i expected something like queensdale with hearts and stuff very good work anet
Must be good, almost 9pm and haven’t cooked dinner. ;p
Great job Anet. Bows deeply.
Oh and downed nasty, hungry champ woohoo. And laughed as many jumped to their death off a cliff in heavy sandstorm.
I’m really happy that a new lv.80 zone demands some kind of mastery (skill) to complete (achievements). Sure, you can’t please everyone, Anet… some handicapped people will have a hard time… but good videogames are about mastering stuff and I missed that from GW2 until now.
There is tons of content for people without skill in GW2 and I’m so greatful that I can work on something (even if it means failing a lot before I finally get it) now. And the best of it: the challenges (open world achievements, story achievements) are permanent now. AWESOME!!
