My last predictions for ep 5 after Trailer.
I personally hear it clearly “She’s on the way” not HE and personally would take a woman responsible for this whole mysticism. Clearly women are the masterminds of politics in this game, while hiding behind their men pins. I heard the story of Scarlet being involved and find it unrealistic, while I might still suspect the queen and her arrogance. Sieging DR seems like a good diversion and opportunity to blur behind the scenes content. White Mantle doesn’t seem that bad, if you try to get in their shoes. DOWN THE QUEEN, LONG LIVE THE QUAGGANS!!!
It’s very clearly “He’s on the way.” There’s a slight mushing of the word to partially move it towards the pronunciation you get at the start of “challah bread” but that sounds more like Kas took a startled breath and said “he’s” starting with her exhale. The word starts in the back of her mouth. If I were on voice chat I’d demonstrate what I mean
We will see everything tomorrow, but I personally think that trailer is misguiding us in some way. It has a feel of faul play in detective stories. Things just are pushed into our faces without any actual facts that can confirm these things.
But anyway it is a lose-lose situation for Anet, I don’t know why they did it. Lazarus was one of grand characters in GW, on par with Shiro or Malyx. If Lazarus is an imposter, they just flashed down the toilet an opportunity for a great villian/character for the sake of cheap plot twist.
And if after all that noise Lazarus is a mere himself, a lot of players would be disappointed when they realise all that buildup in cliffhanger and trailer was just a lie for the sake of hype generation.

I actually hope some of this juicy cutscenes we saw will be in the actual episode instead of just being a trailer thing. Looking at you head of the snake.
Lazarus was nowhere near Shiro or Malyx level enemies. He was a Mursaat. We mowed down Mursaat by the hundreds, and the only thing special about Lazarus was that he just happened to be somewhere else when we and the titans were murdering them. He just happened to use probably common Mursaat trick to keep himself alive in the form of “aspects” after he realized almost all of the other Mursaat weren’t as lucky.
Now, of course, he has all that bloodstone juju probably making him much more powerful than previous Mursaat, but overall, he was not a significant character in anything until now. He wasn’t in any of the main campaigns and was only present in a non essential side quest in GW1, EotN.

Yet he has a potential as an interesting character. Will he betray us? Is he really seeking redemption? What is he really up to? A lot of cool mind games can be played around that. And that is a rare thing in video games characters. When they started building Lazarus that way I really liked it and found it ingenious.
I agree there. He definitely has potential. He was insignificant in GW1, but that only makes him a blank slate, which is really perfect for story building as a major player now, which he definitely is.
