My predictions on today's living story update
I approve of this post
Elzareth – Asura Mesmer
hahaha +1
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
- Kasmir continues to throw out time warps on a 10 second cooldown*
Whyever did that make me laugh as much as it did, I do not know, but it did.
Now I had best be able to make giant bone minions and summon bridges made of bones out of walls, myself, or I am going to call foul on this whole “These nobodies do what you will never do; Be class-related useful!”
Okay. Here are my predictions:
— Mordie will break into COE and gobble up all the energy in there.
—Rytlock’s ritual will fail. Why? If Rytlock succeeds, Anet will be breaking their own lore. According to GW lore, only a human can cleanse ascalon of the ghosts.
— Mordie will devour the ghosts of Ascalon because we all know ghosts are energy. Adelbern & company will not die. They will become one with the dragon, and see Mordie as their ally. In this way, Anet can get rid of the ghosts on the map without breaking lore.
— I agree there will be more hits that Trahearne (aka Tree Jesus, Tresus, Fern Boy, Spinach Head, etc) will be returning to the story! Bring him in, Anet!

I’m really looking forward for Traherne’s return. Why? Simple, he needs to die ASAP. But just so the white knights don’t come to defend the fact that Trahearne is the worst and least useful character in the whole game, here’s an idea on how it should happen. We all know that the Sylvari at certain point will be revealed to be servants of Mordremoth. The Pale Tree show’s her true colors (Mordremoth’s champion/captain/right hand/or whatever), Trahearne (along with most sylvari who do not follow the Nightmare court) refuses to follow the lead of a dragon or it’s servants, and he sacrifices himself in order to destroy the Pale Tree and thus debilitating Mordremoth. And wallah, the most pathetic character in the game (who served no purpose other than putting us through some of the worse, unemotional voice over in GW history), is dead, and whoever liked him (probably because everyone hates him, and of course, some “cool kids” want to go against the flow), saw him die in heroic fashion. And for once in his miserable life, he did something useful. Please do something like this, instead of ANet’s favorite “let’s kill the random character that appeared out of nowhere, nobody cares about, and do a horrible job at making it look like a meaningful death.”

Ah, but it actually only says that it will be cleansed by the rightful king of Ascalon. It’s entirely possible that refers to a Charr, since they originally occupied the lands before humans took over. Adelbern may have laid a curse without realizing the actual implications.
Can the whole Marjory using her dead sister’s greatsword happen, and then having that eventually lead to my main using a greatsword?
I really want GS-Necro to be a thing..

Problem with that logic is, if that were to be true.. Then a Grawl would be the rightful King, since Grawl occupied Ascalon long before either Charr or Human :P

Hmm the Forgotten occupied those lands first, although some people say it was the grawls that did first (can’t find anything about it):
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forgotten
“Archaeological evidence shows that the forgotten were spread throughout continental Tyria as well as far as Cantha when humans arrived on the world. They are known to have warred with the charr on the borders of the Blazeridge Mountains sometime in Tyria’s past prior to 100 BE until they retreated, but otherwise their stewardship is thought to have been largely peaceful.”
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lore
“Sometime after the fall of the Elder Dragons the charr race united under their new Khan-Ur and conquered the lands around them – said to travel north, then east along the Shiverpeak Mountains, and ending in the lands now known as Ascalon. During this time they warred with the forgotten at the mountainous edge of the then Crystal Sea.”
Guerreros de la Ultima Alianza [GDUA]

He is shown going into Baradin’s tomb people.
Baradin.
If WoodenPotatoes is correct, he (Rytlock) is looking for Baradin to give his blessing to the ending of the curse and is acting as a proxy to him.
Soraya Mayhew – Thief
Melissa Koris – Engie – SF for Life!

BUT, Rytlock is actually 1/8 Grawl and 3/16 Forgotten. Obscure but true fact of pure authenticity.

i dont even want to know how this is possible…or was…how to say… uhhh.. conceived.
Surprised nobody mentioned the fact that he’s in the wrong place to lift the curse. It states it has to be lifted in Ascalon City. You would think the best place to lift the curse would be the place where the curse was first cast since that would be the strongest spot.

i was thinking that same thing
