NOT SO SECRET Jumping Puzzle, another bug.
What exactly fails about the jump?
I’m assuming you mean the diving goggles at the top of this jp. I recently did this with 6 of my guild mates and they all got it just fine. It took a few tries to land in the well without hitting a pipe. But that is not a bug that is the challenge built into that particular diving goggle achievement. There are many vids that show you exactly which direction to jump off and how to move to avoid the pipes. after a few tries you should be able to make it. I suggest doing like we did have a team of 2 mesmers minimum, 1 to tp into jp on top of the blimp and 1 to tp up to diving goggle location from top of blimp. Then if u miss the dive u can repeat over and over without having to redo entire jp.
Now if there is some other issue then what I described maybe u can enlighten us, since u are very vague in your OP and critical of supposed bugs without any explanation as to what they may entail.
Thank you for the quick reply.
Okay, my apologies, it’s not a bug.
After spending hours to reach the glasses and several failed jumps i assumed that the descent path had a design error, there was no way to avoid the pipes.
In fact we can say that this challenge we have to face two JP, one to reach the glasses on top, another to reach the water below.
Thanks AN at least one checkpoint somewhere in between
This is supposed to be just a game, i play to relax and forget the stress of work, but this challenge created more stress on me, than a full week’s work.
The following video was crucial to successfully completing this dive:

Mmyeah, Not So Secret the jumping puzzle is fun in a somewhat frustrating kind of way but that dive is downright sadistic. At least you had a mesmer! I did it solo. My poor keyboard, hehe.
I’d love to say they don’t make them like that any more, but Chalice of Tears… I don’t even dare try!

At least Chalice of Tears doesn’t rely on gimmicks that have been broken for ages like those platforms in Not So Secret…

Agree, very very sadistic. My poor mouse xD
Just stand in the middle, dodge backward en you evade everything..
It’s called “the evade trick”… As with every JP: google is your friend
I did finally complete the dive on this a week or so back, so no longer have 37/38 on the dive achievement. Swapping weapons while the launchers launch you will move you the right amount. I used the evad track to get the right position for diving.
All of this is fine, but I’d prefer jumping/diving puzzles not A) require 20 attempts to get it right or require me to look at a video to see how it is done.
I much prefer being able to figure it out myself. Which is why the latest one in Siren’s Landing was nice. No need to resort to google to figure out how to do it, yet still challenging in spots.
Those launch pads killed me way more times than the jump down.
Are there groups that actively run this JP any longer? I need to reach a location near the top for a legendary collection.
I spent a few hours trying to reach it on my own with my mesmer and placing portals along the way to recover from missed jumps. I got as far as an upper spinning gear launcher, but after multiple tries, I still could not manage to aim it correctly and eventually fell to my death, wiping out all the progress.
The place was mostly a ghost town and during subsequent visits I haven’t found anyone there that could help provide a port or act as a teleport to friend target. I was hoping it might come up as a daily JP and get some mesmers offering portals, but I haven’t seen it come up as a daily.
I don’t think it is in the daily jumping puzzle rotation (there may be a few other really hard JPs not included). At least I’ve never seen it in the past 6 months or so.
I have occasionally seen people porting others up. On the plus side, the map is right outside of Lions Arch, so easy to hop onto the map and see if there is a commander around there – if so, they are probably porting.
Doing this during busier times (weekends), you probably have more success. I was on that map with one of my characters shortly after completing the dive, and there was a person doing ports.
How the hell are yall even getting past the zippers to the goggles?
If you swap weapons right after be launched by the zippers, you will be launched the correct distance (this does require playing a class that can swap weapons). However, this adds yet another timing mechanic to the game – if you are too slow on that, you shoot too far. But it isn’t that hard, and you could practice this on the zippers right at the entrance (where if you zip to far, you don’t die and can get back to where you were). IIRC, there is a zipper that that launches you to a rock.
