The new cat is inside SAB world 2:2, at the top of the pagoda with the huge gong we need to use proceed. It appears like a hybrid of a bulldog and a bee at first glace. You need to feed it a piranha just like the octopus. However this is no easy task as you need to go back quite a bit to get one, so best thing to do is clear your path first then go back and grab a piranha. Remember that they try to jump out of your hands after a while, it won’t hurt you but it will knock you back. Which is dangerous because you will have to carry it over a section where you jump over small platforms, so if it does knock you back you fall down and have to start over. Best idea is to drop the piranha yourself thus you avoid the knockback, then you can hit it and pick it back up again.
So tactic is really simple – move a bit, drop fish, hit fish, pick up again and move a bit again.

Once you get the cat it will appear “normal” when you find it in your home instance. Although not entirely, for starters it has the title "Honors in Applied Jumping " which you can see if you target it, it also has a small aura of pixels eminating from it.
But apart from that it looks “normal” or does it? No actually it doesn’t, it has a unique dark yellow color and very dark stripes so it differs from the orange cats, it also has a very short tail as if someone cut it off and only a small piece remains.
So why is that you ask? Very simple it’s because of it’s SAB look which is a bulldog/bee hybrid. It is colored same as a bee and has a very short tail like a bulldog.

EDIT: Since people are asking about it – yes you can get it on Infentile mode, that’s the mode I got it on. However the thing is Infentile mode does a shortcut which omits that part of the level. So while it will get you past a huge part easy, after a while you will have to take a detour where there are no clouds to help you. Of course enemies will drop a lot of food on this mode. The part you have to do is right after the ninja who you need to defeat to gain the glove skill. I’ll show you on a screenshot – on the right you can see a cloud path which allows you to skip this part (over there where there is a hand pointing to the right), however you need to proceed with what is on the left i.e. the bulding with the blocks you move with the glove. So yes you can do it on Infentile mode but the JP to reach the new “cat” with the piranha remains the same as on Normal mode.

Alas, there goes my collection. I’ve never been able to get past the darn Toad. Sigh.

So I may also be down one cat. Woe. I am terrible at SAB — unless someone very patient leads me through it I doubt I’ll get any more achieves done than I already have, let alone see all the cool stuff in World 2.

And for people who are unable to get past King Toad (or any other part) I’m sure there’s people in-game who would be willing to help you. It is a difficult fight on your own, and requires good timing, but with more people it gets easier.

To kill the toad, just hide at the sides on the little ledge whilst he does his tongue thing. Then head to the middle when he moves his head side to side. You can grab a gem to throw at any point in between, but it should mean you will almost never take any damage in the fight.

edit: If anyone needs the toad killed, I can get them through it (EU)

Finally got this. Getting out there was quite time consuming (I did it in normal mode) but actually getting the fish to the cat wasn’t too difficult once I cleared the path of enemies. The hardest part was reminding myself I could drop the fish and pick it up again as many times as I needed and therefore did not need to rush.

I couldn’t seem to feed the cat in trib mode.

I’d love it if someone would post a video of this. I swear I’ve seen this cat on my first play-through, but I cannot find it for the life of me now.

Yep, finally got it today. I never want to repeat that again. Ever.

I’ll tell you what, it did make me appreciate the shortcuts they added in when SAB returned last year. It used to be necessary to complete that pagoda just to finish the map.

Got the Beedogcat today. Two tips that I can share (courtesy of my Guild Leader who spent a good amount of time in there exploring):

1. You can actually feed the cat through the wall of the gong tower, negating the need to climb up inside it. To reach the outside of the gong tower, follow the same route as you would normally take to reach W2-2’s Raccoon Kingpin.

2. You can grab a piranha from the first octopus puzzle, then take Shortcut Eagle and backtrack to the gong tower. Two caveats:

- You must be VERY careful not to lose your piranha. If you drop the piranha while in the air, it disappears entirely and you can’t get it back. If this happens, you have no choice but to backtrack to the 2nd octopus puzzle and do it normally.

- Likewise, be very careful not to lose your piranha while riding Shortcut Eagle. If it’s dropped on Eagle’s back just before the shortcut finishes, you can’t get your piranha again.

So, I kind of wanted to die by the time I cleared every assassin between the fish and the cat – I know nothing of Shortcut Eagles and now do not want to know because it will just fill me with hate – and was too worn out to manage the pillars while carrying the fish, let alone the dart pagoda. I wound up paying somebody to carry the dang fish all the way to the cat, drop it, let me pick it up, and feed it to the cat. Worth every penny. I had just enough energy to continue forward to unlock zone 3 in case I decide I want to finish world 2 before the festival ends, but I’m not at all sure I’ll bother; all I wanted was the cat.

I may have some skewed priorities.

Well actually talking about anything new to the game can be considred a spoiler. Most notably that is hidden from sight and you have to find it.
However truth is I just added the spoiler warning due a previous post I made on Lady Wisteria Whiskington. Next day when I fed her Bloodstone Ice Cream and came to update my post with the news that the ice cream worked my title had [SPOILERS] added to it by the moderator.
I also thought a new cat won’t need any warning like you back then.
So this time I just posted the warning on my own.

That is absolutely awesome … and you are completely right than any new content can be a spoiler. Our guild, in fact, had a note saying that you couldn’t talk about it in “public” for a month after the LS episode released, because that is enough of a window we felt it was reasonable that folks had their chance to do it without spoilers.

Not that we didn’t talk about it, we just took it to other channels. (eg: part of discord where it wouldn’t be in the general chatter stream, etc.)

So, yeah, I think you are quite right, and I absolutely applaud you pre-warning on spoilers. Thank you so much! You rock!
