I have done the jotuns path in Arah. And the animation of the jotun telescope have changed. We can start to see what’s happens inside the strange star.

It seems that a new dragon is gonna to wake up. Or am i wrong ?

you really think Anet will expand this game in a meaningful way ?

It is difficult to describe. You can see an orange sky through some kind of portal. Anyway it has changed since the simple star at the begging

I just did that path for the first time two days ago (got me Dungeon Master at last!). I had a quick moment to see the telescope scene before the PuG leader left. It looked cool, a lot of swirling interstellar mist with stars in. I didn’t know to look for anything special, though.

Are there any comparative videos of before/after?

Jormag would be opportune, since they already have the maps/quest leading to his territory, they need only add two~three Kodan-esque maps to be his version of Arah, and story missions driving the player into its heart.

All of the dragons have already awoken. But will we get to fight/battle against them is the question. Guess we will get some more hints on the 21st!

We don’t actually know that.
First of all we don’t even know if we even know about all the dragons.
Secondly we have no idea if Mordremoth is actually awake or if it will happen during the game (personally I think that the whole Scarlet-arc ties into the awaking of M, but we will see).

Actually yes we do know that. Jormag’s awakening made the far shiverpeaks unlivable causing the norn to move south to their new homeland. Kralkatorrik’s awakening caused the crystal scar near the crystal desert. Primordus’s awakening caused the asura to move out from their homeland underground, and construct a new homeland. The “deep sea dragon” is another other dragon mentioned in the game. The jungle dragon is most likely awake (has also been speculated that he is the second pale tree mentioned). As for the name Mordremoth, the only mention is if you look at your combat log during Subject Alpha’s attacks. Also you cannot derive from the game atm that his name is Mordremoth.

Not unlivable, just undesirable seeing as the Norn were being attacked and/or corrupted by J and its minions.

Indeed, Kralk, did do quite a bit of damage.

The Asura moved up to the surface BEFORE Primordus awoke, as seen in Eye of the North.

DSD isn’t actually mentioned at all in the game as far as I know.
Only that something drove the Krait/Quaggan/Karka from their homelands. No mentioning, in-game, as to what it was however. Other than the Blue Zone in Infinite Coil Reactor, but then again, said Reactor also have a zone for the Jungle Dragon.

The jungle dragon (most likely named Mordremoth) has been confirmed by ArenaNet themselves in interviews. There is also quite much that points towards the fact that it does already effect the game-world, such as the Husks and other creatures like that, that does seem corrupted.

The fact that we actually see the star in the very same path where they talk about it heralding the awakening of a new dragon does also make it quite clear that at least one more is coming, seeing as all the other dragons are awake.

I really do hope they start expanding the dragon storyline soon. Hopefully with some new zones with the original heart/DE system (not like Southsun).

While the game does not directly confirm the jungle dragon yet, ANet did confirm out-of-game that the jungle dragon exists during an interview that Colin gave a while back. There’s a source link to the interview on the jungle dragon Wiki page.

If you look at the dates that the dragons woke up, they have been roughly 50 years apart, one after another ever since Primordus fully awoke. There’s no date given for DSD, but the time between Zhaitan and Kralk fits the rough pattern.

Kralk woke up in 1320, and the current year in-game is 1326, so it stands to reason that the jungle dragon has another 40-ish years before it fully awakens.

I edited my post as a result of the fact that Colin Johanson mentioned the jungle dragon.

But yea whether he is awake or not remains to be seen.
