I love the new heavy set and was considering it for one of my human heavy char, but once I noticed the shoulders being too high, I just can’t unsee it. The female version seems okay, however, which leads me to think this is not intended. Look at how high it levels with the face in both genders (pics from Dulfy’s):

I don’t see any problem.. male armor/shoulders are usually bulkier than female versions regardless of what armor you’re looking at.
Male size ratio : Female size ratio

Both look fine. Look at the Phalanx armor set, you have a smaller shoulder pauldron for females and two head-sized pauldrons for the male set.

Yes I’m a vet, yes I’m salty. Problem?

It’s not a matter of being bulky. On the male version they are floating too high. This is typically a problem on the charr and sylvari versions of armor …

It’s not the case of size only. The male version is slightly larger, that’s true, but the main difference is that it is placed much higher than the female one.

I don’t really see the problem, if you look closely(or not, it doesn’t really matter), it’s made that way. Not only does it extend farther from the top of the shoulders, but it also extends farther out from the upper arm…so obviously it’s been constructed that way, it’s symmetrical. I could understand if it was against the arm but extends above the shoulders, but it doesn’t, it both extends out from the arm and shoulders…as intended so it would seem.
