Guild Wars 2

Am I imagining things, or is there a new music track that plays in LA now? Has some choir and piano and a small bit of it reminds me slightly of some of the music in the Edward Scissorhands OST. It’s really gorgeous. So is it just me or did anyone hear it too.. or Mr. Diemer confirm?

Hurray! My ears immediately perked up when it started playing. It’s always exciting to get new music. The quality you’ve been producing has been incredibly enjoyable. My only beef with this track is that it’s far too short! I wanted it to keep going.

I sat in LA for over 30 minutes so I could hear it again and didn’t notice anything else new so I assume more is coming in the future.

Yeah, noticed this new tune while exploring Lion’s Arch, and I’m glad others have taken notice as well. It’s a pretty piece although I’m intrigued that it appears to be synth rather than orchestral; perhaps this was one of the tracks which couldn’t be composed in time for the HoT recording sessions (which will contain from 1 to 2 hours of new music based on the Audio Team interview) or was not deemed important enough to be orchestrated? Either way, I’m always happy to hear more uses for piano and choir (synth or live) in the score.

Does that mean you’ve also hidden the orchestral Heart of Thorns theme somewhere in this new patch? Just kidding, but that’s still a wonderfully robust cue fitting our epic journey into the Heart of Maguuma, so it’d be cool if we had a preview of it and/or other HoT-related tracks somewhere in the vanilla game (perhaps briefly replacing the theme played during Vinewrath battle with the HoT theme?) before the expansion is released. I personally hope we get to hear the Marionette battle tracks in some form in the expansion, not to mention “Fear Not This Night” whose message is more important now than ever before as the sylvari face their greatest challenge.

Bit of a bump but i love this track I’ve been fond of Jeremy Soule since GW 1 but his music can be a bit samey after 9+ years of Guild Wars in my life, i love the new direction your taking HoT in and can’t wait to listen to the new pieces as i explore.

I wish Arenanet would put the Guild Wars 2 music on Spotify! I would definitely put some of it onto my playlists!
